You still haven't understood what permission means and what the limits are. But I can't imagine expecting anything from a locust... you ask for permission on the face created, on those 6 RX3 files. You cannot convert work done by others. You can't take what you want and use it as you please. It's called looting, theft. Do you know why we made the patch on FIFA 16? Because rumors reached us that there was someone who was converting it and wanted to pay for it. So I work for free, I spend my nights making shirts, faces, databases, balloons. But can someone take everything, convert in a short time and get paid? Does this seem normal to you? I would say no. So in your opinion, painters who create a copy of the Mona Lisa must ask permission from Leonardo Da Vinci's relatives? I just wanted to say that he has no reason to say no. The file is free, what does it matter for him which fifa player uses it? If someone else owns your patch and sells it, it's robbery. You ask out of respect for that person. There are people who specifically only gave me their jobs if the patch remained free. I myself have given consent or offered consent to use parts of the patch if their work is and remains free. You might even be unpleasant to a person. Or that person has no interest in what you do. However, I remind you that years ago we had to remove files and redo them because two people argued and not being able to know whose face was a certain one (obviously I can't be in their rooms) so, obviously, I didn't expose myself. One of the two people removed the authorization to use his files (which were free and open to everyone). We removed them and redid what we could. and there the story ended. Everything continued as usual after that. I still have those files but I don't put them in the patch.

I think that it's a 50/50 matter, i mean, it's true, requests sometimes are really disappointing, that's why i have some projects modding that i keep for my own, and don't post even when i need help, cause i know that right at that moment Mr.PotatoRealMadrid123 is going to ask me if i can include Real Valladolid 2009-10 cause was the last year in that club for i don't know, any player who has scored at least 10 goals in his career.

That's also the reason why stopped doing tattoos, originally it was a break, later i didn't really wanted to comeback there, cause i just spend 1 and half hour doing Di Maria tattoo, only for someone ask for Spezia goalkeeper tattoo without even say thanks for Di Maria.

The truth is that i think this forum is certainly dying a little bit, maybe not modding, but everyday something goes worst, Dmitri disappeared from 14/16 mods, HBZ got retired, guys getting banned as Ramzi, RALE (which thread being deleted was a huge loss for modders), and a lot more, each day a new Mr.PotatoRealMadrid123 drops, and an old great modder just take a step aside, i don't like somethings about admins, i know Chuny and others have a really hard work, but i mean... We don't even have a working search bar.

When I see a modder who does some of its work, I usually write to them on Discord 1 simple question:
Hey, can I convert some of your faces to FIFA 14? You'll be credited as an OG author.

And in almost all cases they agree. The second part here is crucial. That's why @Eyzord did mind when Molchat converted his work, but didn't mind mine.

And I think considering how operating .fifamod files looks, it's the most reasonable way to keep everyone satisfied, especially that almost all work converted from FIFA 22 or 23 were already free of charge.

I am of the old guard, or as someone said antiquated, I saw the golden era of editing and current decline. What really changed are people. Requests also for stupid and perhaps already existing things, they all want ready and if they have problems they don't know how to solve the most banal things. Little desire to do something because there are so much the assholes who do things for them (locuste). Little respect for the work of others. They give everything for granted, as if it were due. The big patches are disappearing. Will we see the 2023-24 patch this year? We still don't know. I still say it. As long as I am here I will always invite you to try to do things on my own. It will come one day, not very far, in which we could not take anything from the recent FIFA and we will end up like those who currently play FIFA 2005 or 2007.
