A little update:
I must admit progress has stalled a little over the last few weeks. This has been a combination of less free time recently, finishing and releasing the new version of the Women's Football Patch and a compdata bug which took a while to resolve.
My intention is to reduce the scope of the first release and include additional and updated content in a future release. The first version will include the new leagues and a working career mode. I would estimate the progress of this reduced scope to be about 80%.

I don't think a face pack would be a good idea mate. Faces are tricky and can easily cause unexplained crashes. There are faces that crash for some people, while other people don't face that issue with the same faces. This happens mainly with converted faces and nowadays they are our only choise for a face, since most of the face makers have stopped working

As previously mentioned, I am finding a reasonable balance between a complete fully 18/19 patch and a quick release. The plan is that some things will be omitted from the first version and ideally included in a later update.
All teams in the DB have 18/19 season rosters. Teams from FIFA 19 will have squads from the 21st February update. Other teams will have squads from prior to the January transfer window. Since there are over 100 teams to manually update, I will delay that until after the first release.
The Romanian league is mostly 17/18 kits. The Czech league has 10 teams with 18/19 kits, 6 with 17/18 kits. Some rest of world teams have 17/18 kits. Some kit packs may be updated to 18/19 versions in a later patch update.
As always, I will not speculate on a release date.
I agree with this, it would make the patch unstable for many people. It would also be a nightmare to support.
I think a better idea would be to have a face pack as an optional add-on. This way people will know the potential problems before installing. Maybe some scripts could be included so people can limit which teams/leagues will have faces installed since they will need to test and resolve problems. For example, I might only want to add faces for the Premier League. I can then spend time testing each Premier League team and removing any problem faces. If I then play with other teams, I will know they will not possibly crash due to a face issue.
At this point it is an idea rather than a plan though.
