FiFA 19 PC- Dx12 Cutscenes are locked to 30 FPS again.

Guys, if you have time, please bump that^ thread to make EA aware of this issue.

Cutscenes are locked to 30 FPS on Dx12 API and on Window mode for both Dx11 and Dx12. This is unacceptable, FPS shouldn't be locked to 30 on a PC game unless the user locks it himself. Setting no limit on FiFA launcher doesn't fix it.

It only works on Fullscreen Dx11 at the moment.



This issue was there on FiFA 18 as well. But EA fixed it after getting many complaints. So it's fixable and there's some hope that EA might fix it if it gets enough attention.

That's no problem if you have an Nvidia graphics card! So that DX12 is not locked in the Cutszenen on 30 FPS, they should make the following settings:

Yeah I figured that. But the problem still persists with Amd cards.


I suggested a better FPS lock system [See post #4 on that link] and that should solve FPS lock problem for all cards.

OK, as is the case with AMD graphics cards, I do not know. If you just make the settings in the FIFA Setups, the problem with the graphics cards is yes, and not only in the cut scenes, but also in the menu of FIFA!

Is not there such settings with the AMD graphics cards in the adrenaline driver, as is the case with Nvidia in the Nvidia control panel?

No, forcing vsync from amd drivers don't work afaik.

RadeonPro is the solution to this. I move it to 60fps and its fine for cut scenes

Yes, they do work.
In AMD set Enhanced v-sync and instead of Global, select Game profile and cap frames there (sorry forgot the name of the setting here, but it's easy to find, just set it to on and cap at 60).
Voila. Super smooth gameplay and menus/cutscenes flowing at 60fps .

Cutscenes are still locked to 30 FPS on windowed mode on Dx11.

Enabling Triple Buffer+ Vsync unlocked the Frame rate for dx12.

But windowed mode on Dx11 still is locked to 30 FPS here.

Ok, but why would anyone use Windowed mode instead of Full Screen Exclusive in the first place? Bordeless Windowed causes severe input lag on Win 10...

That's irrelevant. There can be many reasons to why someone might want to play in window mode. Windowed mode is there and so Framerate shouldnt be locked. It wasn't locked in FiFA 18.
