I think Fidel is reffering to the squad file like the one Ariel made for fifa 17, where by using a hexeditor we were able to convert it to a .db type file and make the changes via db master, but this year no such squad file is released yet.
And yes, this squad file would be usable in career mode.

Hi Fidel, thanks a lot for the option to work with the squad file. I have tried it with "Hex-Editor MX" and edit the skills of one single player. But unfortunately it does not work. DB extract works as well as to edit and save the db.

Then I open the squad_BASE and the edited db with the HEX tool, select the content of the db file and select copy. Now I go to the squad_BASE file and mark all code up from Pos 92 "BD". Now I select "Insert" and overwrite the selected HEX code. I have the two option "Insert" and "Insert as text" and save the file.

I copy and paste the squad_BASE file to FIFA 18 settings and start the game. Ingame under "Profile" I see two squad file (one is the once by update via FIFA 18 menu called "Teams 1") and the other one is the edited one. But no name is shown for the file and it cannot be loaded.

Any idea what my mistake might be? Or do I have to use another HEX edit tool?

Use HxD hex editor
it's the only that works for me when i overwrite the data

@Fidel do you think there's any way to manually update the squads used in The Journey mode? My biggest annoyance of last year was how out of date they are in the story mode and it's the same this year

I know you don't want request, but if you have some time, could you maybe look into a way to enable all boots in editor? EA screwed us completely on PC, not a single boot in the catalogue =(

There is no sponsored on kits on my fifa 18 ..on fifa 17 there was a some id codes for locale.ini file.Is there same id code for fifa 18?

people who cant run the gfx lod tool correctly may try the older version 1.0, the 1.2 did not work for me but the 1.0 one worked fine, thx fidel for your hard work

- THIS TWEAKER WORK IN: DEFAULT CAMERA

New version is a little bit differently structurated.
You can now setup favorited height and zoom gp cam multiplier:
check out new options in the tw interface. Sorry the gui it's very poor but substantial.
This update is required in order to adapt cam increment settings in every fifa stadium.

HOW TO USE
- Extract mod's *.rar archive in a folder
- Start FIFA 18 when you are in game menù Start this tweaker (wait loading) and follow Steps:
- PRESS CTRL+C to search GP CAM float values in memory and wait for voice STEP 1 OK (text become red)
- PRESS NUM PAD 1 to patch height to 1000 - PRESS NUM PAD 5 to patch zoom to 8 (as example)
or use favorited numpad key to adjust height and zoom from availables
- Setup your gp camera with now working gp cam sliders from pause match settings menù

Working to release other gp cams.

Thank to all posts here I've updated information in the com site and released the new tweaker.
I will not implementing values edit box in the tweaker because it's very dangerous,
because if you go out of range in some cases the gpu driver will crash.

To make a roster working in career mode you can just clean every table with fake values, for example if you open player table you can see at bottom fake lines with 0 etc, you can easy check in other tables like teamplayerlinks you can see fake lines (help if you check at artificialkey column so in the last real players do you have an artificial key like 19535
and after this player you can see a lot of fake lines with an artificial key like 0 added by the game when you save,
so this isn't possible because the real artkey 0 is already assigned to teamid 269 Brøndby IF.
Clean every fake line in every db table. Remember to clean completely createplayer table,
otherwise the user will be not able to create a player with rosters loaded. Clean cz_ tables. ENJOY!
Ora però mettiti a lavorare all nuova gpz.
In fifa 18 è fondamentale editare il database per avere il massimo e spremerlo bene, le potenzialità ci sono.
Ora tocca a noi metterle in evidenza. Ciao

Great tip! I will test as I have exactly this problem with career mode! I am able to load an edited squad file, but not to start a career.
