But Suarez was an obviously serious talent and the Eredivise was better back then. The level atm is absolutely dreadful. Luuk De Jong and other clowns are superstars for their team.

This + Suarez had been topscorer of the Eredivisie, won the Golden Boot for best player, scored 35 goals in one season and was captain and star of the team when he left. Same goes for Huntelaar BTW.

Can't say the same for Milik. He's had one decent half a season for us, but he wasn't even the star of the team.

Djilobodji -> Sunderland, £8m

Purchased for £2.7m, makes one substitute appearence in league cub, loaned to Bremen who presumably paid some or all of his wages and then sold for £8m. I do like the player trading business we run on the side.

Andre Ayew, Swansea ----> West Ham

Two goal scoring midfielders in Payet and Ayew, not too shabby.

£20m. Stupid signing. The Ayews have repeatedly shown their inconsistency and mediocrity. We'll see a lot of this kind of signing as English clubs realise they have the desire and the money to sign expensive stars but expensive stars don't want to come.
