Btw to have better difference in game between home and away you have to edit cmsettings.ini and go to this value and change like this:
[ATTRIB_MODIFIER]
AWAY_MOD_LOW = 97
AWAY_MOD_HIGH = 100
So the away team can play as home team or with some abilities reduct up to 3 points. Its random.
If you change to:
AWAY_MOD_LOW = 94
AWAY_MOD_HIGH = 97
you'll see differences because the away team can have some abilities reduct from 3 to 6 points.
PS This work only in career mode, in friendly mode there is no know way to obtain that.

A lot of the stuff if not all will be compatible with ongoing saves, it's mainly (as far as I'm aware) DB changes that corrupt squad files and career saves etc. Of course the best solution is to always keep a copy of your Fifa folder somewhere safe once you've got it all installed and working.

I'm really looking forward to what you do with the new training system. As suggested before it'd be really good to remove to max potential for players so that I could turn a player into a f*cking legend, as some players just peak too early.

Speaking of which, does anybody know the average age when players do hit their peak and stop growing? I have Sam Byram from Leeds who is now 24 and still only 74 OVR. Bit disappointing considering the amount I play him. Jesse Lingard only 75 OVR at 25. Would like to see these go way up.

I downloaded the mod yesterday (and installed just the career mod), and played with my career which is 3 years in with Manchester United, and noticed a few weird things you can tune down:

  • LOTS of transfer offers. It's actually really good that I have this, I got maybe 7 transfer offers for Carlos Butland who wasn't even listed though. You can pretty much guarantee that you will sell/loan a player with your settings added. I don't know whether 7 offers for a player maybe considered overkill though.
  • The player values were completely screwed. I noticed this when I promoted a youth player into my senior squad and saw that his valuation was £40mil. For a 5 OVR LB. Wow. I removed the file from my directory and regenerated to use the game defaults instead. I'd like maybe a 10-15% increase on the player valuations, but not that much.
  • I was unable to make any deadline day transfers at all. How do I fix this?
  • When simulating matches, my team of high OVR players were getting 1-1 draws almost every game including against Newcastle, Crystal Palace, QPR and Hull. I should have really beaten them.

These are just the things bugging me so far, will continue to check for more. :)

If I don't change the database, than there's no need to restart the career. ;)
When it is needed, I'll add this as a warning to the patch. :)

I have released V1.0 Beta 2, with a few changes and (hopefully) a few improvements. :)

Thanks for testing, and hope this will fix a few things.

Changelog:
- Decreased the fitness recovery time
- Increased transfer movements, but players will keep rejecting clubs (e.g. lower league, prestige, etc.)
- Decreased GK growth, and a few fixes for playergrowth.
- Improved player values/wages
- Improved gameplay patch
- Few bug-fixes, changes in all files.

You can edit the xml values in the db folder.
There is a section called player carrier season growth or something like that (if you want I can tell you precisely) where there is a "low range"1) and a high range ="99" for every single ability; if you lower those values player won't grow above those values. For example I edited my db lowering the stamina and agility values; now I don't want them to grow too much so I set it to for example "70" maximum in the xml file.
I tested and it seems to work but it is still experimental

i tested attrib modifier but for me dont work
this i try big or small value but for me dont work
the teams play as usual:-(

I don't know if you've noticed but EA have removed that "cheat" where some player worth £2m in Bolivia or whatnot on £3k a week will no longer accept the amount he's on over there to play in England (and presumably other countries) and will demand a fair market rate (say £25k a week or something) whilst I accept we shouldn't be able to get away with paying them such a low salary as they were on I think there should be some flexibility, when I offer something in between what they were on now and what they quote (presumably the game calculates a "fair" rate based on their OVR) they counter the offer but never come down from their starting figure.

Is that a new one? Basically it's saying every single expired contract will be renewed, presumably for CPU players? Probably explains why there are virtually no players being added to the free transfer pool each season these days unlike previous Fifas, I'll change it to 80 and see what happens...

Bayern sold Muller, Alaba & Gotze in the same window!

Benzema, Neymar, Oscar, Suarez, Godin, Lacazette always seem to be sold!

Is there anyway of stopping big transfers? or limit them?

Thanks for the work on this mod, Beta. I like the number of transfers but I find teams are constantly accepting a little less than the player's transfer value and there are no overpayments. Can someone tell me what setting to change so that teams ask for more than the transfer value? Thanks.

Thanks for the feedback, a lot of things still need to be tweaked, and I can confirm the issues you're having. There are also in the vanilla game, although I'm trying to reduce the 'top' movements, it is still weird seeing Neymar to PSG, etc. :(

I've tried multiple solutions that worked for FIFA 15 (blacklist, 0512 traits, etc.), but it seems EA changed a few methods in FIFA 16, so we need to find out what's controlling the movements.

In FIFA 15 I'd tweaked storylines.lua, but this year it hasn't been (proper) decrypted yet. Think the key is somewhere in the lua files.

Could you try increasing the following value, inside transfer.ini:

APPROACH_MIN_OFFER_VARIANCE_PERCENTAGE_FOR_STARTING11=100 // e.g. 140, 150, etc.

Also transferteamdecision.ini controls the asking price for players.

Hey , beta , I need a little opinion from you.
I am followin your patch very closely and the ammount of work in it is huge to say the least.
In past years player growth has been a problem and still is since cpu players and user players do not have the same formula.
So , starting from here I went to playergrowth.ini and set at young , normal and old curve a growth percent at every year , meaning for example at NORMAL_PHYS_X_0 = 16 I added after 17 , 18 ,19 untill 23 and for each year NORMAL_PHYS_Y_0 = 90 equivalent for age 16 and so on untill age 23 when it's 100.
CPU players start growing a bit better and constant.
A problem is that seems to affect user players in career mode also and need's tunning from other settings.
Make a try with this method and tell me waht you think.

Thanks to shawminator, I could decompile the lua scripts and tweak the in game stories. :D

The 'top player' movements should be a bit lower, although some transfers still happen (Müller, Aguero, etc.); other 'top' players should stay longer at their current club.

Please let me know your feedback and if you like the new changes. :)

I just started a career mode today with v2 beta, and just rage quitted because of the CPU AI cheating (legendary, 2-0 up, two 90' goals).. I'll wait for a proper gameplay patch alongside with your CRP..
