Recruiting would probably keep it fresh. Building a Charlotte or an Idaho into a playoff team would be really satisfying.

Scouting would have to be a much larger element since there are mire variables anf so you have mire to do. While you can't bring a side up you still have to keeo recycling your side. I also think it would be fun if you could coach subgroups like O-line and stuff, or work as a scout or GM.

More about journeyman saves than dynasty maybe.

Anyone played Wolfenstein: New Order? Just started it and it seems bloody fantastic. Very immersive but also completely plain-old-FPS style. Also, refreshing to see a development team focus entirely on a single player campaign.

Nope, but based on those comments I'm interested.

My favourite two games of all time are still Deus Ex (the original) and GTA: San Andreas - due to how good their single player stories were. So immersive etc.

The Deus Ex follow ups I didn't get into nearly as much (though I'd like to thry the third again), and other GTAs I've enjoyed, but not to the same extent (in fact I think GTA V is the closest I've gone to really getting into a GTA since, I wasn't that big on GTA IV or the expansions).

I love games where I can really empathise with the character and the world is relatable I guess.

Yeah, that's what made me interested in the concept - but I guess what I'm saying is that you're not recruiting the wonder kids etc, and developing through your youth system. NFL careers are shorter than football too (at least from my understanding) and it's not like you can really build a dynasty. That said, I guess getting good at recycling your side would be the big challenge - rather than just building from the ground up and creating a dynasty.

EA's NCAA Football games were really pretty good. I would love if they added younger high school kids for you to start recruiting. The NCAA Basketball 2k game let you recruit kids all the way back to their freshman year, if I remember correctly. It was really really good.

That's what I would like - except I have little interest in the College game, so would want to control an NFL team (I realise that you'd prefer to play as college - but surely in a management game, but would be possible).

Personally really enjoyed Deus Ex, hated Invisible War and again loved Human Revolution. I think the latter is an excellent example of a plot driven game that has been given real care and thought to. So many single player experiences seem either tagged on the end or are so formulaic they may as well have not been included.

For instance, one of my favourite games (despite having some iffy gameplay) would be Bioshock. Entirely plot-driven; essentially a playable-movie. I have no problem with linear gameplay if the story is great.

It's really good. My friend played it and I was about to buy it too, reminded me of how much I loved Return to Castle Wolfenstein. Have you played the Metro series? Might like that even more.

I've been told that I'd likely enjoy HR if I liked the original. Never got into Invisible War. I'm sure I bought HR on a Steam Account or something at some stage, so I might yet play it.

I've not played Bioshock, but my concern is that it's not as relatable as Deus Ex was? Loads of people recommend it to me, especially as it was genuinely regarded that Deus Ex stole large parts of the game mechanics from System Shock/SS2.

I loved how non-linear Deus Ex felt, even if it was in fact reasonably linear. It created the feeling of freedom, in a world that felt real.

Still don't understand how Deus Ex hasn't been made into a movie. That story line suited a movie perfectly.

I guess it's harder to make the game really have longevity like FM because you don't really have divisions to bring a side up through. And what it's great keeping your eye out for the latest high school talent, it's not like a pro team can sign him to their youth side

Have you played international cricket captain? It's great

Yep. It's just called Cricket Captain now.

I don't mind it, but I get frustrated with the starting database sometimes, and lack of a decent editor. I don't like editing to cheat, I like editing to make things a truer reflection of what I see in real life.

Cricket Coach is much better for depth of game (allows A sides and youth sides), but it's a much simpler and less polished game. So I prefer Captain generally.

So the FIFA 16 demo was released yesterday. Anyone played it yet? I played 2 games. 1 with men and 1 with women and this is what I think:

This game is just like FIFA 15. Very minor changes. Playing with the womens team is exactly like playing with mens. Its just that playing with womens is like playing an English Football league 2 game. Disappointing and not worth buying.

Unfortunately FIFA won't update the FIFA 15 rosters. I installed the moddingway patch and its awesome. All rosters have been updated and installation is a breeze.

Demo is normally a lot different to the final game, it's usually a month or two old by the time it's released too

For fifa, it is usually almost the same from my experience in the last 2 FIFAs.

FIFA 15 is already a fantastic game anyway so I guess there was not a lot that could be changed in the FIFA series.
