there s an error when applying a database with the selector,



the problem is,
some files are 'read-only' and can't be overwritten


solution:
- go to "...\FIFA 11\Game" (folder Game)
- right click folder "game" > properties
- disable "read-only"
- select "apply on this folder, and underlying folders & files" > ok


i ll also bring a fix soon

Hello, I installed the game, and it works. My friend did the same.

However, when we tried to play the World Cup patch with gameranger something weird happened:

1º: He couldn't see my game. We've been playing the vanilla game for a while and that never happened before.
2º: We closed the game, and restarted it. Now he could see my game, and I could see his. But neither of us could join. "Joining" "Connection Timed out"


Do you happen to know what could be the problem? Perhaps he has a different version than me and I'm not aware, although it would be weird considering we downloaded and installed the same.

when there s difference in the version of my patches (between u two),
u can get crashes when the match started, see missing textures, ...

the errors u describe (missing room, "time-out" error)
sounds more like some network problem
or:
the ea patch 1.01 is missing at someone

Now Im trying to play, and when I enter the game session before the game starts it crashes to the desktop...


I have the EA update and all tokke patches, the game only works if my opponent have the tokkes patch too???

Tokke, what happens if I have the patch and my oponnent the vanilla game? Or vice versa?
Theres no missing textures or players?

In any case why don't u open a thread? so people could say their gameranger to play online with your patch.
