I built my PC myself last year with a couple of old graphics cards and it's running without a hitch.

Well my graphics card was 3 years old, can't remember how much I paid for it initially but I bought the same model second hand earlier this year for about $350.

Bought all the other parts (and Win8) last Christmas for around $1500, having to buy a 1200W power supply was the surprise budget killer!
