Stupid transfer. He played well enough at Spurs that he could easily have had a move to a European club. Seattle aren't even a very good MLS club AND the two players they have which are very strong are their strikers, Martins and Johnson.

If Spurs go on a post-Bale spending spree he will definitely lose his place, even his place on the bench. But I dont know why he would choose Seattle. Is he a DP? Even so, he cant be getting paid that much....

The thing I find funny is, he was linked to top(ish) clubs for like two years before he moved to Tottenham, he finally gets a move, plays alright and then a year later it's back to shitsville again!

I really hope Helton will play many, many years for Porto. He is a legend and I dont understand why Bolat was brought to the club..he is good enough to play for a club which appears in Europa / Champions League.

I did not get the last sentence. Did you mean he isn't good enough?
He came on a free transfer and maybe the club is expecting to make some money with him in the future, after loaning him to a team who gives him playing time.

Helton's contract expires next summer and he'll probably join Vasco da Gama from Brazil. He's definitely a club legend and I wouldn't mind keeping him in the team as his current form is better than ever. But it seems like he's made up his mind about going back home.
Our reserve keeper Fabiano is pretty good. But I'm not sure if he'll be Helton's successor, only time will tell.

No, both Bolat and Helton are great goalkeepers, thanks for clearing me up. I didnt know Helton wants to return to Brazil. So it all makes sense now :innocent_smile_1:

"Good" is a huge stretch. Now doubt that he had a productive season with Zaragoza but he is nowhere near being CL teams material. Anyway, I doubt it but I hope he does well at Valencia.
