I didn't see the match today. Anybody who watched, what were your first impressions of Modric in a Madrid jersey? Marca claim he "directed the play" and "did not deceive" in his debut, but I take that with a massive grain of salt.

Edit: Nevermind, I meant to post this in the Madrid thread, and this is already being discussed there.

As someone who was obsessed with the technical aspect of soccer back in my playing days in junior high and high school, the fluidity of Barca's player movements and awe-inspiring vision just caves my head in.

He's not familiar with the quirks and whims of his teammates yet but aside from that, I thought that he acquitted himself very well. He was very calm, patient and always looking to provide for others with some very sensible runs and decision making.
