Last movie you watched

VanTheMan

You'd better behave yourself this time!
Avengers.. - Over hyped.
Bad Script. Too predictable...
Too many shots wasted in the Lever scene outside the ship..

Could have been wayyy wayy better.

Hanna, 7.5/10. An entertaining film with a good plot sequence and good story telling along with it. Saoirse Ronan is an amazing transformation. Check for yourselves...

I watched Logan's Run the other night. It's aged pretty well for a 70's movie, considering the last 70's Sci-Fi movie I watched was Starcrash. Good film too.

We Bought a Zoo - Two hours of the most enjoyable fluff Cameron Crowe has ever produced. Some will find it sappy, but I didn't find it to be overtly sentimental. It is formulaic, but it makes you feel good about life.

Cedar Rapids - One of the most underrated movies of 2011. Ed Helms was fantastic in his role but it is John C. Reilly who steals every scene he is in. The humour is moody, but it works for me.

The Amazing Spider-Man - A lot better than most have made it out to be. Wasn't quite sure if Marc Webb would be able to pull this high-budget movie off, but I've been proven wrong. Garfield and Stone have great chemistry. Rhyfs Ifans was iffy at best. Not a perfect movie by any means. But it works. And provides a decent platform for the next few movies. Even though I don't think we needed a reboot just 5 years after the last Spider-man movie, but in the hands of Webb, his Spider-man films could be something to really look forward to.

Edit: Speaking of superhero movies, here's a new (probably the most impressive) The Dark Knight Rises poster.

Watched Prometheous the other week, that was pretty good for a Sci-Fi film. I normally get frustrated with Sci-Fi films too. I also watched Five Year Engagement about a week ago which was quite a refreshing Rom-Com.
