I see some earlier discussion in this thread about the process of creating/editing competitions in career mode. I am interested in learning how to do this myself, and will continue researching, but I'm hoping someone can confirm that I have the proper tools to get started...
From what I've learned thus far, I will need a good understanding of the files in the .../FootballCompEng/ folder (working on that lol), Creation Master 12, and Database Master 12.
Are there any other tools I'll need, other than these programs and a lot of patience?

My honest suggestion is wait 3 months and learn on the new FIFA 13 in case they change some things because it will take you a couple months at the least to really understand how to use the files in the compdata folder and then once you finally understand then FIFA 13 come out and you have to learn all over again. Its just an opinion but if FIFA stays 90% the same which I think it might then you will be ready to do some stuff for FIFA 13 when it comes out. Either way study the files in that folder you posted. Remember the compobj is teh brain and all the other data tables in the folder work off of the comp obj. See Rinaldo's website for an explanation of what the text means on the different tables. Once you get a good base understanding of how teh structure works then I can help you with things here and there.

Patch is fixed and tested thru 6 1/2 seasons, I basically quit at that point. I will be uploading tomorrow as I am off for the holiday.

hahaha yeah my hockey equip is pretty awful... there is not enough soap on the planet to clean it properly...
thanks for the quick reply... ill stay up a bit and wait for the upload. I'm still having that same issue where the Red Bulls can't get into Champions League and hoping it just resolves itself with the new update...
edit - just to confirm my learning progress, this is the from the line "tasks" file that tells the game to put the top 4 teams from MLS into CONCACAF CL, correct?

It definately should, Not saying Im an expert but I know a lot more now than when i released the first version. I removed the world club challenge also because it caused long term crashes but I will probably release an update with new Euro vs Americas tournament. I play with DC United so I will also release new tables that give MLS entry to the Copa Sudamericana and Copa Libertadores.

The problem is nobody helped me put this together bro, Im a one man show which is why it takes me so long. I did have a ton of help with graphics and database but getting the structure to work, editing teh tables and making sure it works for 5 or 6 + years is a bitch for one person.
