Does this editing of compdata involve lot of trial-error even for existing tournaments? If this is not so (at least for UCL and EL), you must have devised a formula or method to get this stuff done working in TM. Can you release a short tutorial on this or even the basic steps so that I could try out a basic 32 team or 16 team tournament on International teams. Did you work on only the "steps" given in Rinaldo's site? I believe you and RC must have figured out something more enhanced.

The country issue is annoying, problem with this years FIFA is you can only assign tournaments to a country that has a working league system in career mode. So for the CONCACAF patch I wanted all International tournaments under "FIFA" instead of USA but I didnt have a choice. I did alot of testing and so have others and as far as I know nobody has been able to crack this yet so any tournaments added will have to go under a Country with a league system. Im sure you noticed but FIFA doesn't have stand alone tournaments in TM mode this year and my opinion is they didnt program the game to be able to do it, maybe somebody will figure it out.

So I can get an idea from the compdata files from CONCACAF patch right? Even a simple 16/32 team tournament will do for me under any country right now. By the way, does this CONCACAF patch already have UCL/EL in TM mode?

You can get an idea but there are no tournaments in my patch similar to International tournaments, especially qualifying. Unfortunately there are no shortcuts, you will have to study and learn all of the compdata tables to make a tournament like the Euro but that's exactly how I learned and I used Skeptiks patch as a reference although all of my tournaments are structured differently than his so like I said, no short cuts. Also I didn't add the Euro cups into tm mode in my patch, I didnt get a chance to test and see if it had any effect on career mode if your using a euro team.

Just for some hints from you, in the table compobj.txt, if I follow this sequence:

0,0,FIFA,FIFA,-1
4,1,UEFA,European FA,0
5,3,C232,TrophyName_Abbr15_232,4
8,3,C223,TrophyName_Abbr15_223,4
9,4,S1,FCE_Setup_Stage,8 .......

the last column in each row represents the parent record right? I mean, 5,3,C232,TrophyName_Abbr15_232,4 represents this 6th record is followed by the 5th record (represented by 4,1,UEFA,European FA,0)
and 8,3,C223,TrophyName_Abbr15_223,4 represents this 9th record is some sort of derived from 5th record?
This sequence goes on till the entry "220,5,G1, ,219" - the 221st record - all following a tree structure.

So, if I make an exact replica of the entire sequence and changing the ids (the first column and last column) and modify the first changed record like xxx,3,C223,TrophyName_Abbr15_223,243 (where xxx is the new id and 243 is the entry for "243,2,ENGL,NationName_14,4"), can I get UEFA Champions League under England in TM?

I have to change schedule.txt, tasks.txt etc likewise for the new entries I believe.

OR, instead of copying and adding this sequence of records, I can just simply change the entry of "5,3,C232,TrophyName_Abbr15_232,4" to "5,3,C232,TrophyName_Abbr15_232,243" so that we can have UCL under England in TM mode.

Please forgive me for such cryptic question, I am just wanting to learn the nuances of this system. Am I thinking in correct line or way out of the road?

ok, maybe the regeneration.. there are 3 options to choose.. 1) take care of edited...
2) ignore.. 3) take care of graphics.. which one do i choose? and i am using english.. oh, and i'm new with the whole re generate thing..

Take care of edited is the correct one and make sure when the regenerator is loading that it shows the correct path of your fifa game folder, if it doesnt then right click on the program and choose "set main game folder" and then browse to your main Fifa folder and select it and then hit "go".

I fixed it. did everything from the begging. working perfectly.

I don't know if this happens to everybody, but I'm playing with seattle sounders and some games from concacaf and mls cup are being played on the same day. any tips on how to fix this?

I haven't seen it played on the same day but what I did do was have it so each season about 2 times a season you have games back to back or just a day separating them. I actually did this intentionally because it happens in real football. I will be uploading the new files later today I have been busy most of the day.

well, I have two games against LA galaxy in the knockout stage of the concacaf CL and they are played at the same time as the MLS Cup games.. so it's a little bit awkward since the players are tired.. also the the trophy game in the mls is played a day before the game with borussia..
ok, take your time mate.

The 4 represents the Confederation the tourney belongs to. For the Euro tourneys EA decided to have them directly relate to the Confederation instead of a country and we know you have to be linked to a country with a working career mode league or you wont show up in the Tournament Mode section. So my big edit was changing that "4" to the correlating compobj line for the country of England so the tournaments would show in TM mode under England. It takes about 10 seconds to make the edit.

Rade I did have that issue when testing and making the patch but I thought I fixed it in the scheduling and I didnt notice it when all was complete. What month and day does that happen so I can fix it and add it to my update. It will only take a few minutes to fix.

if i remember correct, it's in september( 17th and 24th). i'll see what will happen after i apply the update.
btw, does the update affect my career?

and one more thing, you sir are a beast for doing this! :D



I installed the update but still no change in the dates. so if there's a way to change it, i'd appreciate.
