Even i struggled to watch the Napoli game. Usually a fan of Ramires, but he just seemed to run forward, run into someone, get tackled, lose ball.

Luiz has some great qualities, but my god is his decision making and positioning bad. Especially with the still new Cahill with him. As a ball winning midfielder, i think he'd be superb.

As has been said before, I dont think Ramires was fully fit. But also he's not the most influential player on the park, I do get the feeling that if the team is playing badly, he plays badly, rather than coming into his own when others around him are stuttering.

Luiz can't do anything a defender is supposed to do, and obviously doesn't want to either. He shouldn't start another game in the defense, Ivanovic can partner Cahill whilst Terry is out. Ivanovic would be a good player for Cahill to learn from in his early days at Chelsea because he is the one man in the team with an incredible work ethic.

Also I've decided that rather than Moutinho I want Alan Dzagoev for Chelsea - surely Roman can call up his Russian buddies and make it happen.

Not really yet, so far I think he's had one start and one sub appearance, but they might be bringing him in slowly.

I hope to be proved wrong but I havent seen a glimmer of what all the fuss is about McEachran. I keep getting the feeling that Chelsea want him to succeed just so we can finally have one new decent academy product, and as a result they are lauding him about his ability.

Ramires is one of my favorite players, and usually this is right, but when you lose possession like 10 times, you become the most important player of the game for the wrong reasons. That was Ramires on Tuesday.

Good win for us yesterday. But the scary thing was that THE only defender we had on the bench was Bertrand.

And Falcao and a better LM to provide Cole with support.

I'm hearing Torres plus cash plus a another year of Courtois for Falcao.

You should just discard Hulk and buy Honda.

From what i've seen of Hulk he likes the ball a lot and will probably get in the way of Mata a fair bit too

Regarding Hulk:

New Signings: in the interview you get the idea he is definitely looking to deeply reinforce the team: an explosive winger, a midfielder à lá Modric, and maybe a left back. About Hulk he did add that he would be a player that would fit in Chelsea, as would Moutinho and Álvaro Pereira, but that he wasn't looking into him specifically. "There are many players that would fit in that role" (of the explosive winger), he add's vehemently.

As much as the media would like to make it seem like we're going to offer 100m for Hulk, that's not the case.

The point is that in 4-2-3-1 with Mata in the middle, AVB would prefer something different on the left. Kalou could fill that role but his contract isn't renewed yet and he's not good enough to be a starter.

Who said anything about a 4-2-3-1? When has AVB ever played that?

Doesn't he need a striker?

Arjen Robben is available (H)

Quite often, actually. And in the interview that is being widely misreported and that resulted in your initial Hulk post, he discusses it. With the 4-3-3 and the current personnel, the left flank is not suficiently covered defensively and Mata's contributions are reduced when out wide. Switching to a 4-2-3-1 is supposed to increase our creativity and defensive stability.

And if he didn't mention a striker, it's probably because he a. doesn't want to sound as if Drogba is leaving b. wants to sound as if he still believes in Torres or c. feels that Lukaku or Sturridge have a future in the striker position.
