version 2.0.5b is out!
The new version seems to work fine!
To please a friend who complained of not being able
to set English as default language... when exiting, now,
the program saves the last settings used.
For now, you can download it
from the fifamania.it fifa12 forum,
in the init post of the thread

If it happens at the opening,
in the game path research phase, please show me your exact path...
In this case, if application crashes and exits you can't fix it immediately. Maybe I've something to correct, to
make it works even with your path and configuration...

and, that's the issue... it takes the fifa12 folder in the user\documents path...
Only later, the research would continue on the drive d...
and would have found the right path.
So we must add a condition to the procedure...
wait a few days.
Wouldn't it be easier if when running the program (FIFA Regenerator) for the first time, you were prompted to select your FIFA 12 main (or 'game') directoy? Then the program should save that path, store it, and remember it forever.

Installed it fine, seems to work, I created a path ...Game/data/sceneassets/kit
Copied in the 4 .rx3 files from "Glasgow Rangers 11-12 by Gaz Panic" into that folder,
Chose the 3rd option, as it said rx3 files, and, all my kits vanised for the red/green sort of weird look. So, chose first option "take care of all files...", and, kits all came back, but, the Rangers one is not there and the green/red look.
Have I missed a step? I am new to this, and, from what I read, you just put the rx3 files in the right folder and run this?
Also running all as admin

My work on the regenerator, for this season, is definetively ultimated!
Bugs emerged with the 2.0.5 beta version are entirely related to the (annoying)
problem of the correct recognition of the game path
and I think they have been finally resolved.
This definitive 'extended' version (2.1) allows the user to chose which indexes
need to be regenerated (and the related process of references removal) and
saves settings (language, game path, regeneration choices) for the next uses.
I hope this work can be appreciated by the majority of you and responds to
the real need of all of us, users and editers.

The problem, i discovered, is unicode encoding/decoding...
I've never worked with non-Latin characters and, at first glance, everything seems quite complicated...
Once solved this... then I've also to test if the font I used
for the regenerator i/o (verdana) is unicode compatible...
I will do everything possible...
but it will take some time!!!!!!!!
