Why the heck people encourage Martinovic reaction? This is ridicolous, if a mad man puts on fire X's house, that X doesn't need to burn the mad man house back, he has other ways.
This drugged man shows how much Romanian society is influenced by the press. Every day, we see on our channels : "wars", "massacres", "battles", "humiliations", "kills", "assassins" "slaughtered" in football contexts. Like " FC Cucuietii slaughtered FC Cuca Macaii ", or "The Player X KILLED [ WITH CAPITAL ******* LETTERS ] FC Valea de Jos".

Honestly, these days I think it's a miracle when we score a goal let alone win a match so I don't know what that was but I hope it keeps going.

Also of note, Steaua was the first team to win in the new National Arena as hosts. So there's that.

Watching the Maccabi game on my comp right now (I was busy on Thu). F. Costea's second goal was impressive. Best goal I've seen from a Steaua player in quite some time.

As for qualifying, yeah I don't know about that. I don't see how we go to Schalke and get a result especially when they need a result as well. Maccabi will obviously beat AEK Larnaka and then we are screwed. Oh well. It's not like we deserve to qualify or anything. It would be a miracle if we did.

By the way I hope you guys are mentally prepared for the classic let down game tomorrow. Playing 16th place Concordia at home. 0-0 draw here we go.

The only thing keeping me tied to Steaua is the past. Fecali has turned this great club into a shadow of its past self.

Incredibly unlucky not to win against CFR. Is it me or are we playing a lot more spirited football in the last few weeks or so?

BTW fantastic goal by M. Costea. That kid has skill, it's too bad he's probably not willing to really work for it and make something of himself aka every Romanian player the last decade.

14 December 2011: Steaua - AEK Larnaka

This date wasn't really fortunate last year, and judging by how Steaua plays, they must qualify.
But they are Steaua. They will collapse at some point and this point may be Larnaka, Vointa Sibiu or the first match from the new year.
I can't imagine Steaua playing 5 good matches in a row, because I haven't seen that for about 5-6 years.

I will tell you EXACTLY how this will go down. They will start spirited and playing well, backed by the over 50,000 in attendance. They will probably even score and be up 1-0 at half. Then they will go to the locker room and find out that Schalke is losing in Israel and they will come out in the second half flat and allow an equalizer.

1-1 draw.
