Creation Center Imports?

Do we have any idea how custom players/teams/tournaments are added to the database? Will they be given unique IDs so we can edit them even further. (Ex: Updating the kit(s) for a custom team created in CC?)

is this the first year pc has had cc ?

instead of asking these types of questions, why dont you wait for us to play w/ it & then tell you.

it aggravates me new members have no idea how things work but feel the overwhelming desire to just have to ask every single thing they can think of.

its new to us like its new to you, sit back have patience & when the methods of how it works & how to import are discovered the forum will let you know.

heres what i suggest you do, instead of being the new i dont know anything but to ask questions actually wait for the full game to release & put some work in, help us figure it out instead of waiting back for us to do all the hard work.

i come at you like this because you already had something to do w/ a tutorial thread asking how to do this & that before we even had the files to look at to let you in on how to do it.

you all must learn to wait & respect the efforts the real editors put in for you to simply add a kit, ball or face or in this case cc content.

Wow, I know you're a mod but chill out a little bit dude. You're on the internet and people are going to ask questions. Not everything is easy to figure out for everyone. You're a new mod. Take a step back and don't be so authoritative. An over-moderated forum is just as crappy as an under-moderated one.

to answer the other dude's question:
I don't know for sure but I assume it uses a completely separate database.

its not about being authoritative, its about cutting back on bandwidth not needing threads that just ask questions.

thats what the support forum is for.

you are telling me its fine for him to open this thread which contains zero knowledge of how to do it.

so now we have this thread, & when the man who cracks how it works creates his thread we now have 2 threads regarding the same contents.

its a waste of site bandwidth & just makes for more threads members need to search through to find what they are looking for.

so the point is dont open threads that are questions unless its support related.

if you want to know something enjoy the forum until you see a thread w/ the title & contents you are looking for.

to me a thread like this is just as bad as spam, cause it uses up space, is also just a thread in the way of the thread you are looking for & shares absolutely nothing but a question noone has the answer to.

people for years have been complaining the search function sucks & it takes too long to look through all the threads to find a specific thread.
mods have been complaining that there are too many useless threads.

doing what im doing alleviates both problems for both sides.

you may not approve bro, but this is how its gonna be from here on out.

the other mods dont seem to have an issue w/ it so i dont see why you should.

ill chill out when members get the point of whats trying to be done here.

Just to come back to the original question:

Creation Center data will be imported to the squad file in my documents/fifa 12 folder. This file can be opened with internal master 11. This works only with database entries, specific graphic files (logos and sponsors) are stored in another file in the same directory.

So it should be possible to copy content from squad file to maindb and thus increase the amount of downloadable teams.(Y)

i think u have to use the website to create, and then import to the game..
but i think it works only if ur fifa12 is genuine and if u have an EA account

Yeah, first you have to choose the teams/players/leagues you want on the Creation Center Homepage. For this you need an Account and of course a legal copy of Fifa 12.

Bookmark the teams you like. Then start Fifa 12 and go to Settings/Creation Center. You can now download the t/p/l you bookmarked before. But the Problem is, you can download a max. number of about 10 teams and only one league.

When you download the league or teams, Fifa 12 will create a squad file in Folder C:/user/my documents/Fifa 12 (or similar). This file contains the database info of your downloaded teams. Graphic files were stored in another file.

Teams get an ID from 3000+ , Players got an ID from 56000 on.
This data can be extracted and via Excel or Access (for those who now how. :)) imported to the original DB.

Once adjusted and copied the team data to the original DB, delete the squad file and start Fifa again. Then you have again free slots for teams, without loosing former downloaded content.

But its difficult atm. Maybe one of the great modders around here will do a tool, that allows an easy export/import between squad file and ori database.
:)

You're right DonTm! If you pay you can get more teams and tournament.
About the structure the roster file is compatible with Internal Master , so we can integrate in fifa.db the roster update (dvd file is updated to 2 september, some players doesn't have his correct kit numbers and missing some transfers)

Yes, thats true, but Creation Center have tons of teams and players already created and the list is growing every day. We could have the best of the 2 worlds if we manage to merge the teams created in CC in the main fifa db, so we can edit them with CM.(Y)

Any news about how the kits and other graphics are stored?

kits are straight forward dds files.

can edit them & save them as dds in ps or use texture editor 12 to import them.

dont know about the rest, im focused on how to create tournaments for cm.

Where are these files stored?
I have a file called UG Content 20111001223429%UGC Data 1 in my FIFA 12 folder. How to open that file?.

got nothing to do w/ being american, its to clean the forums up & make them more accessible to the members who arent here to leech files like yourself.

you get flamed because you ask for it, if you would have read the other posts you would know that the thread creator & myself have spoke via pm about this & he understands what im trying to do.

so why you so worried about it ?

oh & last time i checked you europeaners think a bit too highly of yourselves as well.

When I try to install the Conference from the Creation Centre, it always says 'error downloading user created content, try it again'. I've bookmarked the league in question - what am I doing wrong?

Because I constantly see you flaming people for asking questions that according to your extensive expertise, have no place in forums. As a moderator, you can do your job in a much more subtle way, w/ out flaming people and I'm not talking about myself, I barely post.
But being a moderator on some soccer gaming website I'm sure is your biggest achievement in life, therefore you take it so seriously... Chill out my dude, you're not saving lives here.

na not even close bro to my biggest achievement in life, so dont pretend to act like you have some type of idea of who i am & what ive done in my life.

i take it seriously because ive been coming here for years & the same questions are asked by the same members every year.

how long is it gonna take somebody to understand how something works ?
been here since 08, edits the game every year but has to ask how the database works as if it has somehow changed over the years.

its all the same for the most part, for the new guys who sign up are told to read the rules & if they would have done so they would know to search before opening a thread cause 95% of the info they want to know can be found already on the forum.

im tired of searching through the forums having to sort out threads that have no purpose & or are in the wrong forum in general.

its not so bad when its a newbie, but when its a long time member it gets annoying.

the forums will be a better place when this all stops & everyone gets on the same page.

cool out man, he has the right to say whatever he likes.
doesnt mean you have to agree but you also dont need to talk to him like that.

he didnt offend you personally & it dont bother me so its shouldnt bother you.
i appreciate your support though.

its obvious dude only sees me as flamer but has never seen the other side of me like you & many others have on this forum.

he just doesnt understand people get flamed for a reason & just thinks im on some kind of power trip.

just know i didnt make myself a mod or apply to be one, the job was given to me & obviously for a reason.

ive been the same way my entire time here, so i guess the ones who assign mod status feel the same way i do & thats why they chose me.
