good job, keep it up

Turned out to be a good day in the end with Arsenal dropping 2 points. A bit of breathing room there, thank you Almunia. I really hope Vidic is back soon so that we won't have to see Evans anywhere near the team again.

berba neone ? lol

i understand chicharitos amazing run of form..
but even berba had a good run going on..untill rooney came in the starting Xi again
why is it that Fergie HAS TO START Rooney and bench Berba ?

^ Thanks for coming then (Y)

Evans being sent off was a blessing. This means he's not playing the next game!!!!! Seriously, we're better with 10 players than with 11 players including him.

Good game otherwise. It was a difficult game since Bolton's defense was very good. They have a very solid defense. As usual we didn't give up until the end and scored 2 minutes from the final whistle.

I think our defense did very well, except from Evans who could've cost us a few times with his mistakes. Smalling, Brown, Fabio and Evra did very well. Arsenal dropped 2 points :D So this is a step further towards the title for us.

Because Rooney together with Nani are the most important offensive that we have. Just imagine where would the creativity come from if Rooney wasn't playing? Berbatov makes great passes but he doesn't work as hard as Rooney. Rooney's everywhere on the pitch and its important to have a player like him given that our midfield is very average.

Feel sorry about Berba though. He's our top scorer this season but he hasn't started the last 4 games.

Rooney is our creative engine right now, he is back on his 08-09 form and any manager would be crazy to drop him. I think Fergie did the right thing in giving Hernandez a run out. He is unknown to the opposition and has a great element of surprise. His goals are much more spread out and important than Berbatov's. I'm fairly confident too that had Hernandez been on the field he would have sprinted well from the defender and scored that one on one chance that Berbatov ****ed up in the 80th minute. He just fits our quick counter-attacking style significantly better than Berbatov.

Haha...

Well, I wonder how long can we keep going like this? Surely our luck (by this I mean getting out of jail like today...) must end sometime. Thankfuly Arse is being ****e aswell at the moment. Hope to see City and Chelsea cancelling eachother out tomorrow.

PS. we need Vidic :D

Chicha still has a lot to learn though. He's super fast and his finishing is worldclass. However, his ball control is poor and he can hardly take on defenders due to his size. He's a very clever player though. Despite his lack of strength, he uses his speed intelligently to overcome that. Chicha + Rooney are the future of United and this partnership looks very promising so far.

Forgot to mention: Valencia being back makes a huge difference. He did well on the left today.

Definitely, Valencia calms the players down and keeps the ball well. I'm very happy to have him for this run-in, hopefully he rediscovers his crossing soon, as its been understandably a bit off so far. Don't forget Park has been on the bench today too, so that gives us some more options in midfield.

Hernandez seems to be getting better every game and playing in the title run-in will be great experience for him. This also means that we have 3 dangerous strikers to pick from, especially for games right after midweek CL games.

BTW i don't think our win has been all that lucky. Bolton were slightly better than us in first half, but we dominated them for the full 45 minutes. Even when Evans got sent off, it didn't feel like that made a difference. It was a well deserved goal, nothing like the WBA games.

Yeah well, I guess It's not necessarily luck, but I do think that we've getting results out of games that could have as well gone the other way, also matches that we didn't deserve to win. Might as well call it class or 'having the edge' I suppose.

But yeah, it seemed to me taht Evans getting sent off was rather good. Made us go forward more and we showed a little spark...which we lacked most of the game. Got to give credit to Jääskelainen too, a legend for Bolton surely.

Can anybody explain the point of a touchline ban if the manager is still allowed to send instructions to his coaches? Its not like during games Fergie gets up much off his ass until 85th minute mark, when its time to hustle refs for extra time.

Apparently Shaktar's Douglas Costa was in the director's box watching the game.....very interesting.......A while back SAF tried to loan him from Gremio before deciding to buy him, but Gremio only wanted to sell. I guess SAF used his transfer to Shaktar as some sort of test to see whether he would develope into the player he can be..... Very good player who can play left right and centre midfield, he's young as well....

Man you got it completely wrong... It is not just "luck". The reason why we snatch wins in the end all the the time is because we NEVER give up until the last minute. This runs in United's tradition since Fergie came in. How many times did we score in the dying minutes? It is just not pure luck. Its because we work hard.

I actually have some interesting facts:

STATS: What Happened In Fergie’s Other Banned Games?
- P8 W6 D0 L2
- Before now, he has been banned for 2 games in 2009, 2008, 2007 and 2003.
- With today’s ruling, his fines total £75k.
Games won: Everton, Portsmouth, Blackburn Rovers, Sunderland, Birmingham and Leeds.
- Games lost: v Fulham (1-3 in 2003) and at West Ham (1-2 in 2007)

I love the Rupublik of Mancunia. I really recommend this blog to you guys.

So, it does not make any difference at all as you can see from the stats. Now its P9 W7 D0 L2

Exciting. There's pictures from a couple of manunited.com staff on their facebook page. Difficult to tell if it's him or not.

IF it is him, then I assume Shaktar must have known and been happy - which in turn means that they must have agreed a deal with United. Unless he shows up at the Bernabeu or Wastelands in the next couple of weeks.

Yeah it's not just luck. And ususally it's all about working hard and self-belief, but this season we've had a string of matches that we haven't actually deserved to win, but have won nonetheless. Happens to every team and I'm not complaining, but it's just worrying. And I'm not talking about 99-esque comebacks, but rather scrappy 1-0's and draws. Having said that, win is a win and I'm happy we got another one, just could do with some more confidence and convenience, being ahead of crucial games in all 3 competitions.

International break coming up, I hope we won't lose any more players before West Ham...

With Nani, Valencia and Park playing so well this season, I don't think we urgently need a new winger. But Giggs will eventually retire, so would be nice to find someone before he retires. I haven't seen much of Douglas Costa but he's young (20ish) and will improve under Fergie.
