Napoli is quite a rich club, they don't need to sell their players. Looking at their squad they have a few very good players, Lavezzi, Hamsik, Gargano, Cavani....they would suck us dry if we wanted to get Hamsik

Overpriced does not equal overrated. If Bent was overrated, Chelsea, United and Arsenal would be looking for him. Not average teams like Villa. Overpriced is the right term.

Anyway, Bent's transfer out of Sunderland will give our Danny a more important role for Sunderland now :) He'll be a definite starter. He's on the slidelines due to injury for a few weeks though.

I think Sunderland are planning on buying him outright to fill the void. Honestly Sunderland must be wondering if this season could possibly get any better: they're 6th in the table and just made a comedically high amount of money on someone who can be replaced by Gyan and Welbeck. All this new cash will probably keep Henderson at the club for at least another year and allow them to potentially purchase Welbeck and another really top player like Gyan either this month or in the summer. Onuoha will almost certainly remain with them too.

We'll have to see about that. Welbeck and Gyan are promising, but they have delivered like Bent has, as consistently as he has. I think 18m is steep, but considering the amounts people are going for, it's not that crazy. I mean, Bent is a great finisher and quite fast, and although not top-class, he's been scoring consistently for years now. He's the 3rd top scorer in England in that period behind Drogba and Rooney, and even at Tottenham he scored 17 goals in his only full-season, despite the competition. I think he could shine as much as he did at Sunderland at Villa, and I hope he does, I think he gets an inexplicable bad wrap, despite being a good player.

I definitely rate him better, or at least, more efficient, or well-suited, than Gyan or Welbeck right now. He's had like 40 goals there, that's pretty impressive.

HAHA if Ferguson sent Rafael out there in Fabio's jersey he would be my new hero. That would be HILARIOUS.

And it'd be even better if Ferguson taunted everyone by saying 'what are you gonna do? You can't prove it's really not him.'

If 'Fabio' played today, and then after the game Ferguson came out and said 'it was really Rafael, but since you could never prove it you can all piss off' I would die laughing.
