"Far better"? Is that a joke?

They have Chamakh and Van Persie in attack. We have Rooney and Berbatov (Top EPL scorer). We definitely have more quality strikers. Chamakh is good, but not as good as Rooney or Berbatov. Van Persie is very good, but he is injured 75% of the time.

In midfield I'd say we're more or less equal. Their midfield is certainly not "far better" but they have the bonus of having Fabregas. But on our side we have more effective wingers like Nani, Park and Valencia.

Rooney hasn't scored in a ******* year. I'll gladly take RvP in 25% of games over Rooney and Chamakh isn't as good as Berbatov, but he's not so far off. Bendtner is better than Chicharito.

You have got to be kidding if you throw Nani, Park, and Valencia up against Fabregas, Arshavin, and Nasri and call it "about equal".

And BTW, isn't Neville still getting games? Not sure how your defense is better in every position than Arsenal. I'd definitely take Sagna over your patchwork RB position.

The fact that Neville is still getting games really baffles me. He is clearly past it.. However, I'd definitely take Rafael over Sagna. I feel he's on his way to becoming a world class RB.

You can't be putting wingers against central midfielders man

VDS > Almunia
Rafael = Sagna
Ferdinand > Koscielny
Vidic > Vermaelen
Evra > Clichy
Valencia > Walcott
Scholes < Fabregas
Anderson/Carrick/Fletcher < Wilshere
Nani > Arshavin
Rooney > Nasri
Berbatov > Chamakh

Just cause Rooney hasn't done anything all season, doesn't mean he is suddenly a fringe player that wouldn't get a look in Arsenal side. What has Arshavin done all season? Rooney is already starting to command the area behind the striker and goals will come soon too. The only thing Arsenal are better in is their midfield of Fabregas and Wilshere. AND if you really insist on believing that Rooney sucks, despite him just having a dip in form, then we can make Nasri better than Rooney for you, which still leaves Arsenal having only 3 better positions. You can't possible be serious in thinking that Valencia and Nani are worse than Walcott and Arshavin. Arsenal being below United has nothing to do with them being ineffective. They are not as strong, experienced or skillfull as United. Its actually amazing that given their squad they are still not far off from the top.

What? (H)

Do you even follow the EPL? Van Persie has been in worse form than Rooney this season. Rooney's done like 7 assists in 12 games. Even though he's not scoring, his presence is vital. He provides the creativity that no one offers in the team, except Scholes and occasionally Anderson.

EDIT:
Stats:

Rooney: 11 games, 2 goals, 7 assists
Van Persie: 10 games, 1 goal, 3 assists

Van Persie is no way better than Rooney this season.

Why? Chicharito is an excellent sub who can score winners... He's scored like 4 vital winners this season coming on as a sub. I don't think Bendtner does the same. I'd rather much have Chicharito than Bendtner.

Valencia is definitely better than Walcott because he is way more consistent. Walcott will can occasionally be a star in some games scoring hattricks but will then be sub-par for 15 games. Too inconsistent.

Nani Vs Arshavin, Nani definitely wins considering Nani's excellent form this season. Arshavin is very good, but Nani has been way better and consistent this season.

Btw what are your thoughts about Kuszczak? Should he be our number 1? I have the feeling Fergie is testing him right now, thats why he started the last 2 games ahead of VDS.

I personally think he's good. He has been reliable most times while playing for us and is not really error prone. But he's definitely not at the same level as VDS or Schmeichel. But he's still 28 and GKs usually peak in their mid-30s so he can still improve.

Ideally I'd like a worldclass keeper (Adler, Akinfeev, Neuer) as number 1 but I wouldn't be pissed if he is our new number 1. He's been patient and I think he deserves being given the chance to be our number 1. I think Lindegaard also looks promising from his performance for the Danish NT

I'm not at all convinced by Tomas K yet. Granted, the guy has not gotten many opportunities to prove himself, but still.

I'm interested to see this new fellow we have signed, but I wonder if we'll see him play at all this season. I would think that we would make as much use of VDS as we can if he's retiring after the season.

Sounds like Rooney will be ready to play against Spurs on Sunday. Hopefully VDS will be ready to go also.

Come on man.. Fabregas has a long long way to go before he reaches scholes's level.

For someone that compares wingers to central midfielders I suggest you stick to rating Bundesliga

After bitching about me comparing wingers to central midfielders (Nasri plays on the wing occasionally BTW) you compared Nasri to Rooney. Dumb****.

When Arshavin is fully fit he starts on the left and Nasri right behind the striker acting as a creative midfielder. Seriously, stick to Bundesliga.

Oh, and save the name calling.

Nasri plays behind the striker when Cesc is injured you arrogant uninformed dip****. When all three are healthy he's been playing on the right wing. For example against Man City, Villa, Spurs, Everton, Chelsea (in October when Cesc was injured and DIABY was preferred behind the striker), and... what's that team, oh yeah MANCHESTER UNITED JUST A ******* MONTH AGO, all this season.

Nasri has played as a winger for most of this season, and he's right. Nasri rarely plays behind the striker. Its usually Fabregas. Nasri cannot be compared with Rooney.

Anyhow United still > Arsenal (H) Nani >>> Nasri.

Crouch in for Defoe. Crouch has set up a lot of RAfael van der Vaart's goals, hasn't he? Look out for him.
