I never used football fusion, but i think is related with possibility to play not only as a "player" but also manager.

Yes. If you have a registered copy of FIFA 11 on your PC, is going to activate the feature of Total Control Team, in Fifa Manager 11. Then you can play with all players of your team. It's a remake of the old Football Fusion Born on 2004.

is it going to use fifa11's engine or fm11's? the old fusion used to export the match and you had to load it in fifa, play it, save, back to fm and import. i hope it doesn't use such a complicated system this time.

So it'll have all the stadiums/ other fantastic 3D graphics from Fifa 11, but as well as that, the ability to have different stadiums for each team (as far as I remember), International management and so on? Happy days if this is true - I made a thread about it on the old EA forum a couple of years back - but I never thought they'd actually do it. Yes, there will be bugs, but in all honesty, I didn't notice any that really annoyed me first time round back in 2004. :33vff3o:

Edit: This is a quote from CVG - a long running gaming site:

11's set to feature the FIFA 3D engine, more than 13,000 original player pictures, a player manager mode and a separate national team manager mode, the publisher adds.

Don't get your hopes up lads. I just found this screenshot:

It's Fifa 10 PC, isn't it? No good then.

HI Doc, yes, Fifa Manager 11 will use the graphics engine of fifa 10 ( improved ), about the gameplay, I don't know. But, I guess, the gameplay will be fifa 10 too.

I tried to get the truth out of an EA rep just now with Live Chat, but he couldn't/wouldn't help. As I said to him, gameplay with Fifa 10 PC engine? Forget it. Gameplay with Fifa 11 PC engine, you have yourselves a sale!

According to that site, you said if you have a registered version of Fifa 11 PC, 'Football Fusion' would be unlocked in Manager. Either the site is mixed up, or that picture is inaccurate, but why would the game play in Fifa 10 PC engine when you need Fifa 11 PC to even play the games in Manager? It doesn't make any sense, does it? There might be hope yet. ;)

No guys: the truth is that the picture you posted doctor is about FifaManager 11 ingame engine that uses FIFA 10 PC graphics and gameplay... But if you want, instead of only looking at the match being played in Fifa10 PC engine, you can use the football fusion and play yourself the match in the brand new FIFA 11 PC.
Ok now?

Fantastic! Thanks, Outsider - Football Fusion has definitely returned then - I've waited since TCM 04 for this! Have you played it yet by any chance? I know you can't give any details, it'll just be nice to hear of someone playing the rebirth of Football Fusion.

@Outsider - how does it work then? Surely you don't have to swap the discs round like back in 2004?

Edit: I don't know about this - maybe we shouldn't get our hopes up, as not one of the official previews I've found mentions anything about Football Fusion. Some of them mention Player Manager mode, but not whether it allows play in Fifa 11 PC. Game's out in seventeen days, so we should know more by then.

Hmmm...

A quick search of the Fifa Manager forums (once I got the damn thing to work properly in English) seems to indicate that the only way to play the matches will be with a variant of the Fifa 10 PC engine, whether you have Fifa 11 or not - if you don't have Fifa 11, you have to pay for it to be unlocked, but either way it'll be the same engine. So, someone's wrong - either them or Outsider - who is it? Have you actually played a Fifa 11 PC game in Fifa Manager 11, Outsider? Everyone on the official forum, including the moderators say that it won't be possible to play the matches in Fifa 11's engine.

Remember your original post, Outsider?

What a letdown. :(

Or is it...

Maybe once the game is out, you can clarify it, Outsider? I know you're not really allowed to give out information on games you've seen in advance. ;)

@Regularcat - If Outsider is right and I have doubted him without cause, I'll be only to happy to apologise most profusely, just after ordering Fifa Manager 11 of course. :D I have doubts because none of the previews mention it, there's nothing about it on EA's sites - just 'Team Control' - and everyone on the Fifa Manager forum reckons it'll be the in game engine only.
