I'm not sure he did. I think he tried to jump out of the way, but it was so fast he looked awkward doing it.

Go watch the replay, he tried to kick it with his right foot. Kept his eye on the ball the whole time, and the keeper studder thinking he was gonna touch it.

I really don't care, I was rooting for Ururguay for South America, but that bad call impacted the game in a way that it set the Netherlands up pretty. I was just "over reacting" like some of the Euro Fans against Luis Suarez.

I haven't seen many Europeans have a go at Suarez to be honest. Mostly Africans and African sympathizers.

There were some embarassing reactions from the British media though...

I think that while the Dutch won this game, they're not going to win the finals unless they play flawlessly. I felt like they were exposed in this game.

No, the keeper's eyes were transfixed on the ball the entire time, he only missed it because of a deflection of a Uruguyan leg. And Van Persie steps over the ball to not hit it. Also, he's hardly offside anyway:



At best, one foot and maybe a shin are slightly offside. But since he doesn't really interfere, it's a moot point anyway.

They don't seem convincing but they're managing to grind out results. I haven't been convinced by them at any point during this World Cup but they're getting the job done.

Nevertheless, they will not be the favorites in the final......

Oh yeah 'cause you can totally get a ban for standing a toe off-side while not even touching the ball. C'mon, some people are so ignorant.

Oh and ArgVega, if you support Argentina you are the last person to whine about somebody straying off-side. So far all the teams we beat have either blamed it on the ref or diving or both. Sad and pathetic, but that's okay with me though we'll just keep on winning. Just one more time now.

Why is Van Persie still starter? he's being very poor. Huntelaar deserve more chances.

I can only imagine what it is like out there ... my friends and I came over from Scheveningen to Amsterdam for the Royal Wedding on 02/02/02, and I had never seen a crazy gathering of people like that before ... no disrespect to the royals, but I expect that if there is to be a party on Sunday, it will bigger than that one!
