FRA Vs URU

Arnau is God.

Such a stale game. France should be terribly dissapointed of themselves, for not taking the chances, and winning the game. Even Lodeiro's red card could be of no help. What a waste of such a talented squad. Anyway, Forlan was good, and Lugano too was caught my eye. If either team won, they would have almost made it through to the next rounds considering the other two teams in their group ain't so strong. Big opportunity wasted.

What a load of crap, I expected a lot more from this match.
Mneah, South Africa 1 - 1 Mexico was much interesting.
Domenech, go out man.You have a good team but it's beyond your capacities.

hah, good call ...

0-0, but I thought that was an engrossing contest -- a real battle of tactics ... the tackling, especially from Arévalo Ríos (Uruguay's MoM), was outstanding ... Forlán should have buried his chance from Suárez's chest/thigh lay-off ...

shame for another Ajacied, Nico Lodeiro ... he's talented, but that tackle was deserving of a yellow at least ... didn't see why he got his first yellow though; hopefully it wasn't for something stupid like backtalk / dissent ...

EDIT: also, wtf was up with everyone slipping all over the place? even the ref lost his footing once ...

Donkeynech is wasting amazing talent, however I am happy France tied, increases their chances of going out early which the world needs so that Domenech never coaches again...lol

Other than that Horrible match....Forlan did show to be class with better service (kun where are you?!) he would have scored surely

Watching Forlan control the ball is like footballing poetry. Really impressed every time I see him play. Shame he was pretty isolated in the game tonight.

What was France really doing today!?

Exactly what they will continue to do during the remainder of their World Cup campaign. Nothing.

They aren't capable of a damn thing. Not even against 10 men. Anelka is only good when surrounded by billionaires. Ditto for Malouda......seriously what impact did he have after coming on? They are both only as good as the players around them...always have been always will be. If they aren't playing for Chelsea, then they aren't game changers.

Yoann Gourcuff and Ribery need to drive the team.....without them, this team is capable of nothing besides ball watching.

Do you think that by putting Richard Branson and Roman Abromovich in the midfield alongside Malouda or Anelka, would improve their game then, after all Richard and Roman are billionaires you know.:innocent_smile_1:

Its not about how rich the players are as you know, its about the quality of the players, added to the quality of the coaching staff. France are lacking quality players, and do not play well as a team, and they certainly lack a great coach. That is why they are not much of a threat to anyone.

To pick out Malouda and Anelka (EPL Golden Boot winner 09/10), when France had 9 other players on the pitch who were piss poor, isn't very fair on those guys. Although I do agree that both Malouda and Anelka had poor games too, they were only two of the players out of a team of 11, who played badly.

France shouldn't even be there anyhow, so I hope they continue to struggle, and don't progress further than the group stage. (Y)

France lacking quality players? Are you kidding me? They have Ribery, Malouda, Gourcuff, Evra, all quality players. They have more quality than many other teams at the same level as theirs e.g. England or Italy. The reason why they do not play well as a team IMO is the coach. Only the coach.

As usual you are biased as HELL towards your players. You only see everything in blue glasses don't you? Malouda and Anelka are far from the best players playing for France. I don't know if you were sarcastic or not but didn't seemed like so...

While on national team duty, Anelka hasn't had a shot on goal in the last 6 hours that he has been on the pitch.

That's right.....he's better when surrounded by the best. When he has to be the guy, he isn't particularly effective.

The formation is pretty bad. The 4-5-1 worked pretty bad. They relied on the wingers passing the ball to the center mids and them shooting it from far range.

Num Lock

Reserve Team
Obviously Domenech sucks as a couch I can't say it enough, we are still suffering from the desicions of the old boys club at the fff....

we played without a real center forward, I mean give me a break Anelka is no center forward and never has been, you could see he feels way more confortable when he could go to the right wing, but, and here is the stupidity of Domenech at play, HE HAD NO ONE IN THE BOX TO SEND PASSES TO, if Nico who is supposed to be our center forward leaves the area somebody had to take his position, that is basic tactics Domenech what the ****?

Ribery had a two men mark throughout the whole match but Domenech tactics are so restrictive and static that he didn't switch wings to the right until the 80th minute....

again Dumbenech, when you want to win games you don't sub forward for forward, YOU SUB FORWARD FOR MIDFIELDER OR DEFENDER!!!!!!!!

Gourcuff was Invisible but he refused to sub him out, instead he does the sub Titi for Nico.....

why do we play with two defensive mids when we knew like the whole world knew Uruguay would counter attack, IF THERE IS NOTHING TO DESTROY WHY DID WE HAD DIABY AND TOULALAN?????? TOULALAN WAS MORE THAN ENOUGH.

Govou is all effort but he should be a sub, push Anelka to the right and get Benzema to play center forward..... OOPS??? DUMBENECH BROUGHT NO DECENT 9 FORWARD TO THE WORLD CUP??? ARE YOU STUPID??????

why would you play Abidal as a center back when you could've brought Mexes? WHY IS THIS IDIOT STILL OUR MANAGER?????????

the only thing that makes me happy is that this is the end of the worse we will ever see our tricolore play.

Lloris and Ribery where the only bright spots the rest can go with domenech.

That's what it was, Domenech screwed the pooch on the tactics. Anelka was the only forward, and yet he would constantly make runs into the corner and then pick his head up for a cross and there would literally be no French player in the box, or even trying to get into the box. Govou was a running joke just about every second he was on the field for me and my friends; we took great delight in every errant touch.

And then it seemed like his central 3 midfielders were playing as classic 4-3-3 mids, 1 holding mid and 2 more box-to-box types, which is pretty rare these days unless you're Barcelona.

Finally, his subs were all like for like, which was dreadful. I would have liked to see Malouda start, and also probably another true #9 so Anelka can drift wide.

EDIT: Looks like Num Lock is right with me on most of these observations. Diaby was clearly forced to play in a more advanced role than he's used to doing because Uruguay weren't taking the game to France. I was also looking through the French team to find who I would play as forward, and settled on just not naming any of the players... maybe Gignac had a good year, I don't know. Then I saw this:

push Anelka to the right and get Benzema to play center forward..... OOPS??? DUMBENECH BROUGHT NO DECENT 9 FORWARD TO THE WORLD CUP??? ARE YOU STUPID??????

Hilarious. And spot on.

EDIT 2: We also couldn't figure out why it took so long to get Malouda on the pitch, but we just chalked it up to a bad daily horoscope.
