I think messi has another thing, humility and worth ethic. He's one of the hungriest players ever, having won the ballon d or and all club level trophies out for him, he still wants more. He seems that he never tires to try to get another goal either.

I'm not saying he will do this till he's 30, but I think he will be at this level till about 27 or maybe 28. He just needs to keep the hunger, drive, and humility and he can do it, no doubts.

I wonder whether he'll get any better? He's on his way to challenge the likes of Pele, Maradonna, Zidane, Ronaldo etc if he continues like this. I'm eager to see what he'll do with Argentina for the WC. Argentina has a brilliant team other than him.

Messi is a fvcking faggot, there is no other explanation for someone who can violate 11 other men the way he did the Gunners.

I think aging is another factor as well, he can't keep his magical speed forever. Though he can gain more experience (I can't think of any aspect that he can improve, is there any improvement for perfection?)

He's brilliant, but just as an example Xavi does many things better than Messi. For Messi's career to outlive his youth and speed he'll have to slide back into more of a Xavi role. It can definitely be done, but he can't play where he is now forever.

I have to give credit when due and say Messi was brilliant. He was absent last time but he pulled off 4 great goals this time around. Dunno how much he contributed to the rest of the game, but scoring 4 goals like he did tonight is special indeed.

But I really despite the Messi-mania. He's not perfect by any means. He isn't that great of a passer, he doesn't have much range there. Normally he runs with the ball untill a space opens up or he gives the ball to the person near him. Not to take away from him, he's a spectacular player, but to say he can't improve is ridiculous. He has a good decade to equal guys like Xavi and Iniesta in that aspect, and if he manages it, he would definitely be near perfection, at least offensively speaking.

Remove zidane from the list. Ronaldo had only 1/2 monster season.

Zidane is still above Messi. The only thing you have against him is that he was Madridista. When Messi has achieved what Zidane has achieved with his NT then you put him at this level.

There isn't any reason why Messi can't bring Argentina forward to win the WC or reach the final. Argentina has a excellent team. Messi is still 22 and has 10+ years before him, so he has ample time to achieve something with Argentina. He WILL if he continues like that... He has more potential that Zidane had, no question about it.

yes I want to see if Messi can win a world cup for Argentina or even a Copa America or back to back, before I can consider him at the same level of Zidane.

it was sad to see Arsenal humiliated like that, but that is the price you pay when you play an under 18 team, its amazing all the young talent at Arsenal but it just doesn't pay, and all this Arsenal kids are getting used to not winning which is bad.

Arsenal needs to buy men not boys anymore, while I applaud their business strategy, I used to like watching this team winning like they used to.

Obviously, most has already been said about the match - and Messi. So I won't talk too much. Just a few things. Firstly, Keita's pass to the last goal was superb, really impressive. He was one of the better players on the pitch yesterday. Had we gotten a bit unlucky, the game could have been totally different, Arsenal had dangerous chances in the developing, but we managed to clear the pressure.

And one thing about Messi - I'm just in awe over how good he can shoot in such a small space. I noticed it before the first goal, when he shot a bouncing ball just over the goal. The same thing happened some moments later, when Silvestre gave the ball back to Leo - one touch to control, and then, a shot with great power, which he took no time to take at all. And that was between 5 Arsenal players. Oh, and it seems like he's been improving his right foot. The only thing I have really thought that he needs to improve is his right foot, because sometimes it seems that he has a clear chance to finish, but he can't as he has to take it to his left where the defender is, and the defenders are learning this - they just make sure to stay between the goal and his left. But he surprised them - and me - yesterday, when he got to the box at one point, one on one against Silvestre, took it to the left, then quickly to the right, and produced a rather good shot, just wide of the top corner. And obviously he scored the second one with his right foot, although, it wasn't too hard of a chance.

:33vff3o::33vff3o: They estimated his first goal shot speed. It was 84.9 km/h. That's fantastic for an almost standing shot, with so small space around him, for a player who "doesn't score goals outside the box".
