Star Trek - Entertaining movie, Tyler Perry didn't cross-dress and if Zoe Saldana were blue and had a tail, she'd look just like the Na'vi.

top notch entertainment! i liked the humour, and the characters ... the acting was flawless ... just good, witty fun at the movies, really ...

the sequel -- which could be a shade darker and more serious -- has been set up really well ...

Paranormal Activity - Don't know what all the hype was about. All in all, very predictable and linear. About two or three scary scenes in the whole 90 min piece, so it was very disappointing.

Really? I can't name more than 3 movies that genuinely freaked me out, and that was one of them. Clever and very well made, effective at suspending my disbelief.

Then again, I might be in the target group of the movie, i.e., living with my gf, in my early 30s...

Yep, I thought the development of the movie was too linear, which kept me from being surprised by anything as the whole thing happened as I thought it would. I watched it with my gf aswell, gotta say she wasnt too scared aswell, but maybe that's just us.

I actually thought Paranormal Activity was well done with the build up, then they dropped the ball on the ending. It was too sudden, it seemed rushed, and you didn't see what happened. Plus the alternate ending seemed better. I was a bit freaked out with the way the movie was progressing then when it ended all I could think was 'what the hell? That was it?'
