It was a much needed win. Villa were coming off a mauling by Arsenal and we had to expect some backlash. They came close with Downing, Agbonlahor and Carew....any of those could have gone in. Our defending still needs work.

I watched highlights, and the fact that you came out with 3 points was indeed a late Christmas gift. Villa had you dominated, so many chances they couldn't put away. Cant complain though, their loss means we can jump to 4th with a win (H)

Can complain because I bet my friend that this would finish a draw while he had Villa to win, ******* Torres, couldn't have just settled for a point you pretty boy bitch?! :(

Glen Johnson may need a scan on his injured knee.

Our next EPL game is not until Jan.10. Our first FA Cup game is up next against Reading.......I don't know how much interest we should have in this competition. HOWEVER, after this game, it's another 8 days before our next game(an EPL game) against Tottenham....and that's going to be a tough one. With that in mind it's kinda hard to say that we should rest most of our regulars for Reading because they'll (atleast some of them will) need quality minutes before lining up against a very good Spurs team.

Went to the game last night, one of the worst games of football i've ever seen - and ******* cold. Good win though in the end.

So we're in the market for a RB. Good thing the January transfer window is upon us.......

Scans showed that the England right-back, who moved to Anfield from Portsmouth for 18 million pounds in pre-season, tore a ligament in his right knee late in the 1-0 win and will be sidelined for several weeks.

A club spokesman said: "A scan has revealed a tear in the medial ligament in Glen's right knee. The player will see a specialist tomorrow, after which we should be able to more accurately determine the length of his rehabilitation period."

^^^ yup, he's a left back. He could also play some CB but not RB.

Oh and, I know we're struggling now and everything but, we just CANNOT take 10 steps backward by signing Ruud Van Nistelrooy. He's past it and would not be a long term solution.......

If you guys don't qualify for the UCL next season you'll be in deep ****. You could suffer the same fate as Leeds. In fact it was the exact scenario with Leeds. They made a lot of expenses and failed to qualify for the UCL which got them into financial troubles. I am hearing Benitez is even considering offers for Torres and Gerrard.

Luckily you guys got a good fan base though which can help ease your financial troubles. Just hope that an arab billionaire comes with an offer for now.

That's not going to happen. EPL is so close this year and I think they can qualify for the UCL.

It would be hard for Liverpool fans to loose Gerrard and personally I don't want that to happen.

It's hard to imagine an EPL without our first rival, Liverpool.

Ryan Bertrand is a Chelsea F.C reserve.

Ryan Bertrand is on-loan at Reading.

Reading has eliminated Liverpool from the FA Cup

Oh, and it was in a one-one against Bertrand that Torres got injured.

Our reserves are better than you.

3 of your best players will be missing for 2 weeks (Gerrard, Benayoun, Torres), no Yossi or Torres for a month, and no Torres for 6 weeks.

Good luck.
