I think he shoud be fired, his own pride might take him too long to realize what a ****-up he's been.

I agree the whole team is looking miserable

1)Veron and Gago are useless, they get lost in the picth, pass the ball away, absolutely no connection from the back line to the front!

2)He needs a big player to partner with messi like milito or higuain, so many long balls lost because no one there to hold the ball up or flick it to messi

3)He needs a player who can connect the passes from defence to attack and control the tempo of the game, only 1 person in argentina right now which is Juan Roman Riquelme

Whats a fact is that soccer has changed messi can't take on an entire team on his own, he needs players to take the pressure and defenders off him... lets analyze messi on a team like barca were iniesta xavi and henry and now ibrahimovic each pull a defender or two off him, and compare to argentina where they put 3 players marking him... they need a riquelme and/or lucho which provide creativity and take pressure off the front line

I think they should just stick with him. I doubt the federation has the balls to fire him. Also, it's not like the team was dominating before he was appointed manager. It was a desperation move, so they should just let him sink or swim. It seems like the national team as a whole is in a crisis; they have the best player in the world, and very solid players. But they can't get the pressure off Messi.

I think something huge like missing out of the World Cup will make him step down. It would be sad as I really like Messi, but I think it's interesting to see sucha powerhouse team struggle with all that talent. So keep the Maradona project going.

I think he should realize himself that he hasn't done anything good for that team so far, because I think it's pretty hard for the federation to fire such a legend for Argentina...

If they don't qualify than its major fail. If he scrapes through I really want to see him in the WC with Argentina, it will make 2010 much cooler.

He should have never become head coach of Argentina in the first place. He should've stayed the legend he was.
