Also, soccer derives from association football, and even though footy is the proper word, soccer has become a norm. I hate the fact American football is called "football".

If your saying that I'm a glory hunter, then you are wrong. I've been an avid Chelsea fan WAY BEFORE the Abramovich era, and as for our recent success, I can't say the same thing about you. What's the last trophy you won? Oh yeah the FA Cup back in 06. We have won 2 since then. In 07, and 09. And the league? 1990? I'm not saying we are the most successful team in Britain, cause we are not. But when I prove you wrong with a FACT, your comeback shouldn't be that you have 'real' fans, cause just like EVERY successful team in the world, there are glory hunters.
You can call it whatever, but it certainly shouldn't be called football. But handmelon sounds the funniest.
