Just finished The Neverending Story by Michael Ende(which, by the way, I find the most amazing irony of all time :D)

Anyway, what a ******* ride of a book, man! I knew it was a classic, I just never imagined that so much stuff could spill out of a dude's head... Fantastic work, (Y)

Starting XI
The Good Soldier Svejk by Jaroslav Hasek. For the fourth or the fifth time now. Just love it. As antimilitaristic as All Quiet on the Western Front yet funny and satirical. Consider it as the best foreign satirical novel.

Devil May Care, Sebastian Faulks' take on James Bond... I'm finding it pretty good, but after it I'm thinking of buying a Fleming-written one to compare it...

Brilliant novel. Underrated in the West.

I read The Five People You Meet in Heaven a month or so ago, great read. Then I read a few chapters of Sam Harris' "End of Faith", but got pretty bored of it after a few chapters.

I'm now almost finished reading Bret Hart's autobiography, "Hitman: My Real Life in the Cartoon World of Wrestling"... A must-read for any previous or current wrestling fan, gives such an insight on what goes on backstage. Although at times I feel as if Bret's just trying too hard to make himself look like the good guy in every situation he's experienced. Either way, fantastic read.

Inquieta Compañía by Carlos Fuentes

Fncken luuuved it. Fuentes is regarded as one of if not the best storytellers that Mexico has given birth to, so I personally recommend his literature.

Just read Sex, Drugs, and Cocoa Puffs by Chuck Klosterman. Really good, I recommend it. I'm also half way through The Idiot by Dostoevsky. Ehhhh, it's not anywhere near as interesting as his other stuff I've read.

Next on my list is The Master and Margarita by Bulgakov. Those Russians can really write, I tell ya!

I've tried The Idiot and find it hard to get going. When does it start hooking you?

It didn't really. I started reading about 10 days ago and got halfway through and then picked up another book. I see it on all of these lists of great novels, and I absolutely love Dostoevsky, but eventually I just started to think "when is this going to be about something I care about." I can only deal idle society chatter for so long. I have a feeling the second half will be a little better, but who knows.

Life of Pi- Yann Martel, a friend recommended it to me..seems like a good fiction book to wrap up in a day or 2 over the weekend...

Just finished The Last Templar by Raymond Khoury. Interesting storyline, keeps you hooked. My only problem with it was that whatever twist Khoury threw at us came way too early... It's like once you've read half the book, you already know who everyone is and what they've done and plan to the do and you just kind of read on to confirm what you expect.

And I'm currently downloading the TV miniseries that was created for it.

Awesome book. I read it in 2 days because I had nothing else to do, and liked it so much.

I've ordered that book and can't wait to read it. Bret tends to come off like that in most things he does.
