Didn't see this one coming but hey, we have a saying here that roughly translates to "rather him than myself".

Damn, that is shocking. If you had to pick one artist that stood out from the rest with his music, it can only be Michael Carlos*son. Why did he have to go white and have all those surgeries?

So brutal the way the news came up this evening. Pretty unbelievable.

Going to be a hell of an emotional funeral. Pop on Mike, pop on!

His music is engraved in my brain thanks to my school bus driver...

Anyway, as shocking as it is, I'd like to see how much time would they allow to pass before talking about his drug induced cardiac arrest.

I mean, as a physician, when I see sudden cardiac arrest in a patient with a history of substance abuse and multiple drug-related hospital admissions = Drug induced arrest.

It's the dark side of the entertainment business. Even MJ wasn't immune.

But no thanks to the "doctor" who showed up on CNN moments after they confirmed his death, and spoke about the reasons (ignoring the drug induced cause) of the sudden cardiac arrest saying that "anyone could get it"... and "if you suspect you get arrythmias and heart flutters, head over to the ER to have it checked." Thanks to him, we'll be getting a flood of hypochondriacs in the ER with non-existent heart problems. (especially that the problem needs 24hr monitoring to be detected).... and of course, it's almost 100% drug induced.

Did not see this one coming. I never really got into his music, of course some songs, but not that much. I guess I'm too young for it.

I think I'm the only person in the world brave enough to say this:

I don't care. And I hate when people die and everyone convinces themselves how much they care.

No matter what you might think of him and despite all the awful things he did in his personal life nobody can deny he's one of the greatest artists of all time, having such a big influence on the world of (pop)music. Rest in peace, king of pop.
