The Silver Goal approach to the extra period is really quite defensive minded. The Golden Goal rule adds real excitement to extra-time. Both teams have an equal opportunity to score....they both get possession of the ball, so it;'s not like one team marches down the field and shoots. Both teams have an equal opportunity to shoot/score. The silver goal rule amounts to a waste of time.

Golden Goal is way more exciting, its the ultimate feeling as a player I'm sure. Silver goal you need to play the full 30 minutes which tires players even more.
