An Ultimate Player Achievement

I was just wondering if anyone knows a player who has won the top league title in Spain, England and Italy at any period in history.

I have been racking my brain for about half an hour now and the closest I can come is two league titles but never three. If Milan win Serie A then you could possibly say David Beckham has played in 3 title winning teams but I would hate to consider Beckham to have achieved one of the rarest things in football (I think).

The closest I could come to is Henry if barca win la liga this season, but he hasn't won serie A with juve right?

Ruud = He's won at Madrid, won at Man United, and PSV.
Ronaldo = Cruzeiro, PSV, Real
Zidane - Bordeaux, Juve, Madrid
Larsson - Barca, Celtic, Man Utd
Seedorf - Ajax - Madrid - Milan
Robben- PSV, Chelsa, Real Madrid
Figo - barca -real- inter

Or are you only counting the 'main' 3 leagues?

I think he meant English, Spanish and Italian leagues..

And yes it's really hard to find one that has done it...

Yeah specifically England - Spain - Italy from any period in history.

Still now I don't think it has been done, I got Laurent Blanc who has played in all 3 leagues with teams who have won the title (like Henry) but they never won it while he played for the Spanish or Italian team.

For the main 3 leagues, I dont think its been done, or else it would be well publicised. I found it hard to find players who have played in all three leagues. The only other one i could think of was Edgar Davids, but I dont think he won a title with all of them.

I guess Beckham might be the one...

Yeah but thats if Milan win the league. Milan's not in good shape at the moment, they are 8 points or something behind. And Beckham is staying there only for a 2 month loan.

I'm pretty sure it's not been done, I've still not been able to think of anyone at all.

So can anyone think of a player who has won the most league titles in different countries for example from the post above

Larsson - Barca, Celtic, Man Utd
Seedorf - Ajax - Madrid - Milan

have won the league in 3 different countries, surely their is someone who has won more than 3 different league titles?

It's looking very likely Henry will win the Spanish title with Barca.

He won the French league with Monaco, and the English league with Arsenal.

forget winning the league title in all 3 of Spain, Italy, and England, how many (well-known) players have played in all three competitions?

I know of:
- Christian Panucci (Milan [2 league titles], Real, Chelsea, Roma)
- Patrick Kluivert (Milan, Barça [1], Newcastle, Valencia)
- Edgar Davids (Milan, Juve [3], Inter, Barça, Spurs)
- Michael Reiziger (Milan, Barça [2], Boro)
- Winston Bogarde (Milan, Barça [1], Chelsea)
- Gaizka Mendieta (Valencia, Lazio, Barça, Boro)
- Abel Xavier (Bari, Oviedo, Everton, Liverpool, Roma, Boro)
- Savo Milošević (Villa, Zaragoza, Parma, Celta, Espanyol, Osasuna)
- Darko Kovačević (Sheffield Wednesday, Sociedad, Juve, Lazio)
- Thierry Henry (Juve, Arse [2], Barça)
- Didier Deschamps (Juve [3], Chelsea, Valencia)
- Laurent Blanc (Barça, Inter, Man U [1])
- Christian Karembeu (Samp, Real, Boro)
- Mohamed Sissoko (Valencia, Liverpool, Juve)
- David Beckham (Man U [6], Real [1], Milan)

those are players from the time I've been watching football ... don't really know about pre-1993 ...

and from what I know so far, it looks like Becks is the only one currently with a shot of making it a complete set (barring any future transfers of players who have won titles in 2 of the 3 countries) ...
