I thought I'd change my prediction of cars finished to 16, if Fender made the exact same predictions as I, as he did, but the race had just started as I noticed it.

Gilles Villeneuve(Canadian) was a termendously successful F1 driver with Ferrari, including finishing 2nd behind his Ferrari teammate Jody Scheckter. His son(Jaques, also a Canadian if you're wondering) won the F1 title, in 1997, with Williams. Mario Andretti(American) won a F1 world championship with Lotus(I think it was Lotus,???). The US and Canada have produced many F1 champions and F1 legends. THERE IS NO WAY IN HELL that Formula 1 should even consider dropping either the U.S. Grand Prix OR the Canadian Crand Prix!!! NO WAY!!! Apparently, it is not "worth it" to travel to North America for one race(Canada), now that the US race has been removed from the F1 calendar. So......Canada is dropped as well, leaving NO races in two countries with a rich history and plenty of tradition in racing. And that is an absolute joke!!! Hell, having just 2 races in North America is bad enough....there are facilities here for so many more races to be held on this side of the Atlantic.

If it's not worth it(financially) to have one stop in North America, then bring back the US race at Indiannapolis. That makes 2.....a third you ask? Well, there is a road circuit in Las Vegas that can be used to host a 3rd US race. I'm sure there are many others to choose from...I just haven't heard of them. In Canada, Toronto can host a 2nd Canadian race.....downtown circuit is very similar to Melbourne. So that gives you not just 3 but 4 races in North America making it WORTH IT to travel here.

I'm sorry but Abu Dhabi has ZERO tradition/history in F1!!! Besides you already have a race in Bahrain and Turkey. What a DAMN RIPOFF!!!!!!

Toyota president John Howlett: "Hopefully in the next four years we can establish a real race in the US."

Congrats to fender!!!

As for the N. Am. races, couldn't it be done by rearranging China, Japan, Brazil? It seems to me that whoever manages F1 these days doesn't want races in N. Am., so they just found an excuse for that...

Anyway, what would you guys think if there was a change in the scoring system or something like that?

Had fun predicting thanks for running it Fernandez.

Got lucky as well considering i missed predicting for 2 races and the results for those 2 races were pretty haywire and didn't leave me too far back.

There will always be fans in North America, and hence a large F1 audience, regardless of whether or not there is an American/Canadian in the sport.

And as far as the Abu Dhabi thing, fine, you want to put a race there? Ok go ahead.....just don't keep piling up new races in the SAME region of the world....Turkey AND Bahrain got theirs very recently.....why give another one to the same region SO SOON???

As far as the Tony George thing, if Bernie bothered "negotiating", they would have reached a compromise. That is ofcourse if he really cared about a race in North America.............it certainly seems like he DOESN'T!!!
