Manager Mode

are there any changes to manager mode? .... was looking around but not much found.... if there is...care to share with us peeps who have a long wait lol

It's exactly the same from what I can tell, except when inviting clubs for pre-season friendly matches, you can choose to be the Home or Away team and also adjust the Ticket Income Ratio (how much of the profit goes to you and to the opponent respectively). By default, it's set to 50:50 but I've seen opponents accept 70:30 in your favor.

Another new thing is the 'Customize Formation' option under the Team Management menu. You can create custom formations in Manager Mode now.

Everything else works just like in Fifa 08. I haven't accessed the Youth Academy and Scouting options yet, but I presume they are unchanged just like the rest of the mode.

oh cool.... really hope the simulated tranfers are more realistic and not having liverpool or valencia chasing after ur stars

One question. I haven't played Fifa for a few years, is it normal for your manager mode transfers to change all your teams in exhbition mode?

(I bought huntelaar to roma in MM and when I go to do a quick exhibition match he's in the roma squad)

I think they are the same... why do you care about simulated transfers anyway?

Roamer - that's definitely not normal

well i just like to see realism when i play..... it kinda annoying when every transfer season u put a star on the market.... liverpool is there to offer loads of money lol.... what about chelsea.....man u...???.... infact i hardly see man u and chelsea making many tranfers lol

Yeah, must have been a bug. Was also causing the game to crash everytime I went to the 'international' teams.
I've reinstalled the game and its gone (did a quick dummy mm run).
When I load my old profile/MM it reappears so will have to start again. Was only half way through a season and made some bad transfer choices anyway.

Question - in manager mode, what does the training, which you schedule in the calendar actually do besides destroying players stamina? Did quite many of those but dont see any improvement...

sometimes, for example, i had a player with 87 and after training he becomes 88.

After training is complete, you receive an email. If the mail has a date in the subject, your player stats have increased. Be sure to read those mails (the ones with dates in the subject). If you set 3 trainings per week (I usually set 1 for ATT, 1 MID and 1 DEF each week), the upgrades happen quite regularly. Every fifth, sixth match or so. Just like in FIFA 08.

Also, those stat increases that happen during training can affect the overall score of the players. That's why sometimes a player becomes 88 from 87 after training.

Just a quick question about the players retiring. Are they rebirthing? For example, if Steven Gerrard is retiring is it possible to find the young Steven Gerrard? if yes ,how?

Nope, £37,000,000 budget

lol i was wondering about the manchester city thing, cuss i know there not the richest but when i was playing in my manager mode ( my ronaldo is 99 ovr on 4th season) i thought it would be funny to see how much people would offer for him, hes wurth around 91 mill. and manchester city offered me 103 mill lmao i said no. :P

Other changes:

- you can have more than 30 players in your squad, i already had 41......but i still don´t know whats the limit.
- young players are put avaliable for loans, in fifa 08 was just old players.
