If Tuncay could score that goal in the 60th minute, that would be the goal of the season. It reminds me Bergkamp's legend goal.

I don't think it's about you not being able to afford him. It's about Rafa trying to buy Barry his way and O'Neil having none of it. You can offer more for him, but the owners don't want to because they lose face, I think.

Rafa transfers tactics seem to get worse every year, frankly.

What's the deal with Benayoun, is he leaving, staying? Is he getting played?

I think that Benayoun is staying for now, but could be offered as part of a transfer. As far as Quaresma is concerned, unless he can play on the LW, we don't have room for him and don't need him!

I don't know... it looks like we're getting Riera, though.

RW---> Kuyt and/or Pennant would be first choice, depending on who else is on the pitch. When all the players return from the Olympics, I can see Rafa playing Gerrard, Babel and maybe even Keane or Benayoun on the RW. We've got too many guys already playing out of position to bring in another RW......that part of the midfield is overcrowded. I don't know why we need another player for that position.....

I'd prefer a LW.

I don't understand Benitez's transfers, anymore. He's bought so many players over the past years, and he just keeps buying. I thought that any of Babel, Kuyt, Benayoun, Pennant and Gerrard could play wide, and do so well, and now he's adding Riera? Not to mention having the likes of Alonso, Mascherano, Lucas in the rest of the midfield, and a handful of capable strikers. And I'm not even talking about all those young foreigners he's been bringing in, like N'Gog, who one can only guess at as to why.

It's like he's trying to be the megabucks-spending Chelsea and not measuring up to even that. Over the past 3 years I've seen like 50 transfers in and out, and millions splurged on unproven players with limited success. I understand that you need a large squad if you're gonna rotate, but come on, you have enough players, don't you?

We have loads of central mids, and no real left winger...

Seems true, it seems Kuyt on the wing is the main reason for all the cries at BBC Sport. I don't even wanna know what's gonna happen if you don't qualify for the CL.

Luckily we've got through, though... the best side over the two legs was not Liverpool, but we've done what we've got to do... now here's hoping we get to welcome Anorthosis into the CL Groups, or we may not get out of it if we play like this...

This was a typical Rafa win...at times, and it's happening a lot lately, he looks clueless!

Kind of like a 1-0 scoreline, this group is tricky........there's more than meets the eye.

We could end up winning all the matches just as easily as losing all of them...

I say we get to limp into the next stage, just like we usually do.

We have plenty of players like you say. However we do need someone on the left wing so we probably need to sell some players (like pennant). what might work is if Gerrard went on the right, and have mascha and alonso in the centre with a new player or maybe babel on the left.
