Championship Playoffs - Who's Going Up?

Bobby

The Legend
Hull and Bristol are both really big cities, so their absence from the top flight for so long is strange. Hull have actually never been their, in 1904 they finished 3rd in the old second division, that's the highest the club has ever finished until they matched it this year. Bristol's support is splintered between themselves and Bristol Rovers, but Hull are the only team in town, is Rugby THAT big there?

And why is Hull called "Hull" when it's "Kingston-upon-Hull"? Wouldn't that make it "Kingston" like Newcastle is officially "Newcastle-upon-Tyne"?

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long
Yellow Card
Bristol is one of largest cities in England to have NOT experienced the Premier League, which, by the way, I miss terribly.

On the other hand, Kingston-upon-Hull is the largest city in the whole of Europe to never have a top-flight football club.

Hull/Bristol and Stoke will finish with less than 11pts combined. I can't believe the likes of Barmby and Windass may get a shot at the EPL.

That all depends if Stoke splash the cash, WBA will make a decent fist of it next year but I would fear for Hull or Bristol without serious expenditure.

Yes, they say rugby is a friendly sport. It certainly isn't when KR and FC face each other, it's basically West Hull v's East Hull.

From a purely selfish perspective it would be great if Hull can find one more win. With living in Hull it makes the prospect of catching the Newcastle game very likely.

Hull in the Premier League! Delighted for Nicky Barmby, he has shown a lot of loyalty playing with Hull for a smaller paycheck.
