i usually like the nerazzuri colours ....
That new Sunderland away kit is actually blue and navy (rather than black), their original colours from when they were first formed until they adopted the more familiar red and white stripes.

They had an away kit in blue and navy before, back in the 01/02 season, but had a red collar and trim as opposed to white.

Oh yeah as for Ljuboja, his hairdo in that pic looks more like a f*cking badger! (H)

oh ye! now that you mention it, I remember that kit ... ye with the red collar and red numbers on the back, right? that's what stood out the most in my mind ...

my favourite away kit of theirs' was the aquamarine away kit (with white trim) ... i think they got relegated that year ... but at least they looked good ...

those nike kits were pretty good ... not at all a fan of the umbro ones these days ...

Yes that away kit from 01/02 did indeed have red numbers on it, was quite a decent looking kit but also coincided with the club's freefall from a few consecutive top 8 finishes to battling relegation and eventually going down twice with record low points tallies. Still they've got well and truly over that now, but in truth I prefer their kits from this season to the newly revealed ones, though their Nike kit from 2000 to 2002 was their best in years. The only positive thing I've seen from what some Mackems have said is regarding the long overdue return to red socks. These haven't been worn since the 96/97 season when they had a single season in the Prem.

In my opinion I think Umbro's kits are seemingly "overdesigned" with all this fancy graphical stuff when all they need to do is keep it simple with a few subtle bits here and there... not something that looks complex and designed with a complete geometry set!

haha, geometry set! :D

ye, some of the Ajax umbro kits of the 90s were great! (I've put up a few of my favourites in that "favourites kit" thread) ... Man Yoo's league kit of that treble-winning season was class ... England's 2002 home kit looked good too ...

apart from that one England kit, they've gone astray this millenium ... let's just say i'm now glad Ajax switched to adidas when they did ...

EDIT: actually, I liked the England 2006/07 away kit as well ... whatever ... the main point was that their 90s kits were much better ...

must be some fancy artist if he has painted them on!

Moving on to Ajax, Ajax kits are just all the same though arent they? I'm not against it, dont get me wrong - it's tradition, but they just release a new kit every year with a change to the collar. It must surely annoy some of their fans to know that they are forking out £40 every season just for a new collar?

What I like about Umbro more recently is that they can variate striped shirts and make them look different and original for each team every season. I think the Sunderland one for next year is a lot more 'stylish' than the shirt they have this year for example. However, I do agree that the majority of Umbro shirts are designed by a geometry teacher on a power trip!

The great thing about kits, shirts and manufacturers is that they cause debate for people like us! So if every single kit was lush, we wouldnt have anything to talk about. Hence the reason Puma have relased a whole range of terrible kits: to keep us talking!

Do you remember Jorge Campos' goalkeeper kit for Mexico in the USA '94? One word - wow.

Hull City Away

Home will be stripes next year. I'm assuming it will be just like Sunderland's only Amber & black.

That is really nice looking. I'd prefer the logo and badge to be split either side though - looks odd central.

that bear! :D oh man, wha' a jesse! :p

but seriously ... i'm lovin the stripes (Y) ... as I said before (when this shirt was first posted), i really hope the Barcelona home kit will be just like this one -- round neck and all (but I bet we'll get a v-neck ... we always get a v-neck ... the monotony is getting very irritating) ...

if you replace the white stripes with red and the red elements with yellow you'll get Steaua's home kit for 08/09 (Y)

very nice kit... would like to see some new socks tho
I was wondering why they were wearing the socks from the 05/06 kit on the photo, does seem odd, unless Nike forgot to supply them with the new socks for the kit and they had to wear old ones for the photoshoot?!?!

PSG's look good, though the home one isn't a million miles away from the current shirt. Shame that these shirts might not be seen in Ligue 1 next season the way PSG have been this season.

ProSport said that our home kit will have more stripes and the away will be like Barca's fluorescent away kit used this season (I think).

Do you have the link to that?

I don't know if I like that idea too much (:/)

This has been going round some of the Man Utd forums, what do you think?

Here is what could be Manchester United’s new away shirt for next season, made by Nike this white shirt uses a new Nike template that has been seen recently on the likes of the Portugal home shirt and Brazil away shirt, so it is fairly convincing that this is the real deal.

Posted by a user on leading Manchester United fans internet forum redcafe.net, he says that his Uncle works for Nike and this is where he got the image from. The shirt itself is white, with blue Nike logo and sponsors AIG across the chest, the blue also has two lines which run down the sides of the kit, with a blue collar that is detailed with red at the bottom. United is written in to the back of the collar.
