FIFA 08 won't start.

When I open the game, I get the black screen but then am returned to desktop. I'm wondering if this is because I don't have SP2 installed on my Windows XP? Is it necessary?

Here are the minimum system requirements for running FIFA 08:

Operating Systems: Windows XP SP2, Windows 2000 SP4 or Windows Vista

(Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME and Windows NT 4.0 are not supported)

Processor: 1.3 GHz
RAM: 512 MB
Video Card: DirectX 9.0c Compatible 3D accelerated 64 MB video card or equivalent .
