Thats the thing.. Its not the coach and what he says to the players, I know the players will play their heart out and try to win.. Its his tactics and substitutions that need work.. And like you said Zakov, gotta Hope he gets it right on sunday..... As I do... Because I really don't want to see ManU or Arse.. win the league..

Zakov, I gotta say mate that its refreshing to read posts that contain optimism. I feel the same way, always optimistic. Of course we still feel the same as other chelsea fans, but what's the point really of letting a game of footie, get to you so badly that it ruins your life man?

I am refering to the Chelsea fan sites I have looked at today. These people are so negative and depressed, (not all of them of course), that I'm surprised they didn't all commit suicide last night. What a bunch of downers they are. I will be going to those sites less and less I think. Too many idiots go in there now.

thx for the compliment m8.
Its not strange to be optimistic when you've been a supporter of the team for so long, I'm already used to dealing with victories and losses, but maybe in the past seasons I'm used to seeing us winning so much and every loss gets to me more than it did in the past.
Unlike Man Utd fans, especially the young ones have the luxury of seeing their team win year after year. We had to wait until 2004 for our time to come. So as u said, it does make me sick to see these so-called Chelsea fans being depressed over that game at Tottenham, its still far from over and we will have a few setbacks(hopefully none) but i do believe we have what it takes to win the title, despite what people are saying about Avram, at the end of the day, its about what the 11 players on the pitch do. its just the matter of selecting the right 11 to do it. like i said, hopefully he gets it right on Sunday. cheers m8

Thats cool Zakov.

MaestroZidane, don't think a complete fu<k up on Sunday hasn't crossed my mind mate. It's the fans biggest fear of course, but the thing is this, we just have to be upbeat and confident about the situation.

Of course we could lose. We could also draw or we could win too. The future isn't written yet and thats why we have as much chance as Man U have of winning the league. Absolutely anything can happen man.

I think Avram has made tactical mistakes this season, and it seems like it has cost us points every time, but nobody mentions when his substitutions actually win us a game. People only ever want to mention his mistakes and never his successes.

The guy is learning the job. He has never coached a top flight team before in his life, and he has never managed a club in England either. He'll get the hang of it eventually. There is no great rush. Thats the great thing about football, there is always next season.

It amazes me that so many people expect instant results from the bloke. That just shows how little people really know about the game. Personally I believe in giving him a chance to learn. I don't care if it takes a couple of seasons either. I'm really not in any hurry. I would like to think that Avram over time, will learn the little tricks needed to win in the EPL. If Roman is willing to be patient then so am I.

It took Wenger a good few years before he had any impact at Arsenal, but strangely enough nobody ever mentions that. Fergie struggled when he first took over Man U too.

What people are comparing Avram with is Jose, and that is just stupid. Two very different people with completely different personalities, and Avram is much less experienced as a coach than Jose was when he arrived.

I'll tell ya this man, the only people who demand instant success at Chelsea are the gloryhunting newbie fans. As Zakov said, the Chelsea fans who have followed the club through the last 40 years, know better than that, and that is why the REAL fans do not get hysterical about everything like the newbies do.

I like Avram as a person and that is important to me. If it means I have to wait a couple of seasons until he gets the hang of things, then so be it. I'm very cool with that.

Roman and Kenyon have stated time and time again, that Avrams job IS NOT dependant on winning silverware this season. They have said that the plan is to continue to build on what has passed over the last 4 years. They obviously have more of a sense of realism than most fans do, and a damn lot more intelligence than the media have when it comes to football..

Roman has said, "If we win something then thats great. If we don't, so what. We will have to try harder next time."

I can live with that very easily.

Cheers mate. It's just the way I see things. I'm not saying that everyone has to agree with me, but I love Chelsea, and something you love should never make you unhappy. Quite the opposite.(Y)

Nike, sure it's hard sometimes but thats the way it is for a Chelsea fan. It always has been, but the joys sure outweigh the dissapointments mate. Lets rip the Arse apart on Sunday huh? That'll do us all the power of good.:)

SPurs would be the team to give up 4 goals against, notice when a team is in a game like that how much they shore up for their next match (against Arsenal). This could be a good/bad thing. Either our defence will be extremely tight or more nervous than usual and I'd expect a low scoring game, whether we win or not is a different story.

Seems like whenever we get close to catching them, we just fall behind again but oh well, we did get a better CL draw.

essien on a right back? u gotta be kidding me... well, lets see...
(not that he is a bad player, he is great, just not where he is now...)

Help?

Lol, Chelsea losing 1-0, Grant puts on Anelka and Belletti, the crowd starts singing Mourinho's name and "You don't know what you are doing". Couple of minutes later Drogba scores, couple of more minutes Drogba scores again to make it 2-1 and an assist by no other than Anelka, a sub by Grant. Nice one.

Nettles

Youth Team
haha if everyone big four match could be like that I'd be happy. Nice to keep the home record going, don't think we're going to take over United but would be nice not to have to qualify for that CL spot.

Wish Anelka would've been better, I've been a bit disappointed in him, he's not the solution as the Drogba injury replacement but still good. And no complaining about us being offside, you can only complain when the player's meters offside and that was marginal :P Bad defending on the 1st goal though, the defence has gone down in quality since Mourinho left.

oh, what a great game... great performance by us, by arsenal, a good win, a good goals, no terrible tackles, what more could u ask for?? ;) (btw grant seems like one hell of a confused person to me... no offense, but he got lucky today with that anelka sub :P and anelka got lucky with that pass, he didnt do anything else on the pitch just screwed around and handed balls to arsenal...)

We apologize for keeping the yellow too long

Fun game....at the end of the day, you have to win these kinds of games....even if you win'em ugly. A win is a win, no matter how confused the manager may or may not look. 5 points in 7 games is not entirely out of the question.

YEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSS.:Carlos*o:

Great game and a great win. The tactics and formation to start the game looked a bit dodgy, but it worked a treat. Then the subs and switching to
4-4-2, was just inspired. Arsenal could not cope with that at all.

We commanded the midfield and soaked up everything they had to throw at us, and when the time was right we changed the game. Everyone played their heart out, and the contribution from Belletti and Anelka made so much difference. With Anelka, its what he does off the ball as well as on the ball. He was taking defenders with him wherever he wandered, and the space that made for others was invaluable today.

Well done Avram ( I said that he would get the hang of things gradually). :)

The same 200 or so :-puke:morons showed the club up again today, stupidly singing Jose's name and aiming their ignorant chants at Avram once again. These pricks have forgotten ( or never knew in the first place), how a real fan conducts him / herself. A real fan (whatever your opinions might be), on a matchday, support the club to the hilt. Support the team, the coaches and the club.

To behave like they did again today was expected but disgraceful. Chelsea have some really nice fans in general, but we are stuck with this little crowd of thicko halfwits, who know fu<k all about football and fu<k all about loyalty.

Anyhow.....thats us in 2nd place. 5 points behind Man U. It is still very, very possible.:)

lucky? If it were Mourinho to make those subs you'd be calling him a genious.

I really don't understand why Chelsea fans hate Grant so much...he's doing quite well is he not?

well, not me... i dont hate avram, i think he is good at what he does, i heard he is a good person as well, and from what i have seen, he really looks like a nice kind of person to me, believe me, i am happy that we have him! its just that he is making unexpected moves too often and it doesnt seems to be the happiest solution all the time... today it was! definitely... and yeah, he is doing quite well... i dunno why is abramovich going to replace him, i think that is the worst he could do, but on the other hand it may be the best he could do... he cant know it now... neither can we or anyone else... i like avram, i didnt mean to insult him with that post, i meant... last few times he subbed anelka it wasnt so good, but avram hoped he will do something and he didnt that few times... today it was all the same except for... anelka did it - he passed to drogba and u now the rest :)

and last thing - i dont hate anybody from squad, okay?! how could i???!!! they are CHELSEA ;) if i say something bad about someone of them, it is because of their performance... not that i hate someone of them, please...

hope u understand now...
