I wasnt convinced at first but have come around to the idea. It has definately raised the fans and appears to have raised the players too - surely that can only be a good thing

I thought he took them from League One? Might be wrong though.
Nah he didn't. Joe Royle was manager when he took Man City from the then-Division 2 up to the Premier League with two successive promotions. After relegation from the top flight after a single season Royle was sacked and Keegan took over with the aim of winning promotion, which he succeeded in doing.

So Dennis Wise joins Keegan at Newcastle. It seems that Wise is going there as " Director of football ".

This has to be a joke surely. What on earth does Kev hope to accomplish with bringing in Wise. The guy is pants where management is concerned. Whatever made Keegan think of Dennis Wise ?

It's been reported this morning, Keegan didn't have a clue about Dennis Wise being given a role at Newcastle, and still isn't sure about what role he is playing. So it looks like it wasn't Keegans idea.

As long as the Toon avoid the drop then nothing more should be expected. This season has to be used to assess the whole situation at Newcastle, and hopefully by next season things will be a lot better. The entire club is going through changes, and this will take time.

I feel for the Toon fans though. This is so hard to take right now. You just gotta bear with it guys. Eventually things will turn around. It's just gonna take time.

Pede34 To some extent I agree that this season was needed to assess the situation. However we are failing miserably to impress. I am not up for sacking managers - but I am up for replacing players, though who with god knows
