You think he'd want to run for VP a second time? I guess I don't see why not, it just seems unusual.

I actually forgot that he was Kerry's running mate. What an awful campaign. But yes, I do think he would run as VP again, but definitely would not want to resign himself to that fate so soon. First of all, an Obama/Edwards ticket would be the most historic ticket ever, plus it would be the most dynamic, energetic, youthful, and progressive probably since FDR. Secondly, what else is on his plate? He's been a full time Presidential Candidate since 2004, and it doesn't look like he's running for another office any time soon. If he wants to stay relevant for 2012 and beyond, the best place for him to be is in the Vice President's office. And Thirdly, as sad as this is, John Edwards carried the Kerry ticket in 2004. Everytime he went somewhere and stumped for Kerry, he was phenomenal, and whenever Kerry went somewhere he was awful. Edwards is an Alpha, but Obama's even more than that. Honestly, I don't think I could think of two better campaigners in the country right now.

I didn't answer directly, because I thought you were being sarcastic at first, I've always thought ***uyama's "End of History" thesis because capitalism allegedly "won" was pretty well-known.

Barack Obama reminded me of Martin Luther King Jr. with his victory speech. He's a better speaker than I remembered, and just brought me completely back into the fold. THAT'S the guy I remember from 2004.

It's kind of sad that I found this out from the BBC, but Florida and Michigan's delegates will not be accepted at the Democratic National Convention to nominate the Candidate to punish them for moving their primaries so early. The primaries in those states for the Dems are meaningless.

The Republicans are slashing the delegates in half for Florida, Michigan, New Hampshire, South Carolina, and Wyoming because they moved their primaries ahead. Not so sure why New Hampshire, but whatever. Rudy's selling out for Florida might not be such a big deal and Super Duper Tuesday becomes extremely important. And if no candidate can wrap it up on Super Duper Tuesday, it could all come down to Texas. Or possibly we could see every Political Science student's wet dream come true with a true nominating convention for the Republicans. That would be awesome.

Yeah spot on, I was referring to his excellent argument for why the war of ideals was well and truly ended following the collapse of the Berlin wall, with capitalism and liberal (in the classical sense) democracy emerging as the undisputed winners. Whenever some psuedo-marxist moron tries to argue that there will be a communist resurgance, that the battle is still being fought and that marxism will triumph, I always point him in ***uyama's direction. Plus rep to you sir. Now, how would you like your blow job?

If anyone is capable of blowing a forgone conclusion election, it's the Democrats. And Clinton or Obama are just the people to do it.
