My new year's was nice. Same old stuff, but nice. Dinner at a party, drinks, drinks, midnight, drinks, drinks, drinks, train back home.

Other than family, I don;t like giving 2 sh*ts about ensuring that someone feels that I want them to have a happy new year because, really, I couldn't care less.

Oh yeah, I spent it with family and most of my 14 year old (or thereabouts) cousins got phone calls from their friends at midnight, just to wish them a happy new year. Since I have virtually no friends, I was standing around with a hat on my head, some plastic twirly thing around my neck and hands in my pockets, putting on a fake smile....I know its fake, they know its fake, they know that I know its fake, they know that I know that they know its fake, so they try to make a joke to lighten the mood.....which causes me to produce a fake laugh. What a senseless thing to celebrate...other than resulting in a change in the year section, of the date, it's just another day for me.

I can only justify it as being humans' attempt to esacpe from the doldrums of reality.

I had a great new years. Wasn't an anti-climax like many are.

41 degrees Celsius on New Years Eve, was about 30c at midnight, went to a club which is on a beach, so perfect location to **** off when it was too hot.
