PES6 running slow

I recently upgraded my pc and now have 1.4 GB of RAM, Radeon 1950 Pro graphics card. I uninstalled PES6 also to have a clean install when i install the super patch.
Now the game runs very slow from the beginning loading screen onwards. I have PES 2008 and that works fine but PES6 is very slow.

i have tried that and uninstalling it and re-installing it etc. The irony is that i upgraded my pc to play games like Call OF Duty 4 which runs great on my pc now but PES6 does'nt:(.
Is this game compatitble with Direct x 9.0c as some old games don't work with certain version sof direct x i heard?

I had the exact same problem (WITH 8800 GTX)- i think its the superpatch. try a clean install of PES 6 and you will find it runs perfect - then add the patch and it will run like a dog. dont know why but mine did exactly the same although it may have coincided with upgrading to Vista x64

I don't have any patch installed, it's a clean install now. From the main menu screen to the actual game everything runs slow and jerky. I tried tweaking the settings of my card buy still it stays the same.

What processor have you got?

I used to have a P4 2.8GHz, 2GB of RAM and an X1950 Pro on my old PC and PES6 ran fine, and I had DX9.0c on there too...... so I'm not sure what is causing the prob, unless you've got a lot of other programs (services) running in the background which can affect performance.

I have a P4 2.4 GHz processor. I only changed my graphics card and increased the RAM so i know it's the graphics card that it affecting the game. I tired tweaking all settings but still no luck
