Turkey - Bosnia [P+R]

The Group C table makes depressing reading for Norway supporters heading into Wednesday's final round of UEFA EURO 2008™ qualifiers. As they look for Bosnia-Herzegovina to do them a favour against Turkey, though, they can at least take a crumb of comfort from the previous meeting between the sides in June.

No surrender
Bosnia-Herzegovina ran out 3-2 winners in Sarajevo thanks to Adnan Ćustović's last-minute strike. The same result in Istanbul on Wednesday would put Norway through should they win in Malta and Fuad Muzurović believes his side could yet provide a sting in the tail. "I watched Turkey's win against Norway on television and it was an extraordinary game," he said. "The Turks played their best when it mattered most and justified their favourites' tag [in the group] alongside Greece. Turkey are definitely stronger than us, but we won't surrender."

Muslimović out
Muzurović has called up FK Modriča goalkeeper Bojan Tripić and FK Sarajevo midfielder Veldin Muharemović for the trip to Istanbul. He is, however, without injured Atalanta BC forward Zlatan Muslimović who has been replaced by FK Željezničar's Sanel Jahić, the top scorer in the Bosnia-Herzegovinan Premijer Liga. Marko Hrgović misses out after being sent off in the 3-2 loss to Greece last month, but Elvir Rahimić is available again after suspension.

'Tough'
With all the pressure on Turkey, Bosnia-Herzegovina, who can no longer qualify, have nothing to lose. "Turkey are inspired by their win in Oslo, but we will try to play as well as we can and get the best result we can, but it's impossible to predict the outcome," captain Zvjezdan Misimović said. "The match in Istanbul on Wednesday will be tough."

Are you gonna crack again, Turkey?

They also may view this match as a derby, so who knows.

Well, there's one statistic working for Norway...Bosnia and Turkey are the only 2 teams in the group that performed better away than at home, statistically.

I just hope Bosnia scores the first goal. Then Turkey will be crazy, and start to fight against them instead playing. Crazy turkish. In real Turkey style. Kung fu.

Norway beat Malta, and Bosnia take at least ONE point from Turkey.

HASTA LA VISTA TURKEY!

By partially, he means around 50%...so, even though I would love that Bosna let's Turkiye go to the finals, I doubt that the team will roll over and play dead by the political reason that you are thinking of. But regardless, with the catastrophic situation in our national team, Turkiye shouldn't have a problem going on, whether we put up a fight or not.

BARBAREZ FOR PRESIDENT!!

Yea, because they turned to Kung Fu after you scored the first goal as well....
On second thought, Nihat's goal was kind of like a side Kung Fu kick...you might have a point.

He is staring at you Hepoas! Be afraid, be very afraid!

Bosnia is our brother nation, i dreamed of qualifying together with them, but it didnt happen.
In this game we will win with at least by a 3 goal difference, i say 3-0 or 4-1..
This is not because Bosnia is a bad team, but we just win our games when we definitely need to..
We should have been the leader of this group but i guess the second place will be fine too..

Some say, Bosnia will "ease up" against Turkey. its not true, Norwegians are spreading these rumors because they want to put pressure on this match and make it more important to Bosnian players than it already is.
They are trying to defeat Turkey "off the pitch" too bad they couldnt do that in Oslo..

Since we are talking about bosnias national team i think muharem (bayernboz) will agree with me that this is one of the most disappointing years in the for the team I mean after we defeated norway in oslo and then beat turkey it seemed as if we could do it and then we lose to 2 **** teams and thats your typical bosnian national team but whatever I hope we get some referee help sometimes 2 as the refs are never on our side hopefully we can qualify for something in the next 10 years

all this kung-fu talk, all this `bosnia will ease against turkey because both are muslims` sh*t is nonsense.. norway had the chance to get this race to an end and they screwed up.. cut this crap already..
