We will definietly get a new striker next summer. However, there is no point in panicking into buying somebody in January. Nani, Ronaldo and Giggs can all play up there, plus the team also can play 4-5-1. Ole's retirement plans came too late to buy somebody, that's why we only have 3, next year somebody else will come.

There's been quite a few rumours about us going for an 18 year old Partizan Belgrade striker - Stevan Jovetic. Anyone heard of him?

Also anyone heard anything else about the Quagliarela (sp?) links recently?

Quagliarela is not coming.
But I can say that Jovetic is explosive and will make a big big impact ih he joins us.He has a 66% chance of joining Ajax though.

I will really like to see him at United.
Then United will unarguably and undoubtedly have the best young front attack in the whole of this world.

I'd rather have a striking option like Doyle (he's a United fan) rather than Nani, Ronaldo and Giggs up front. The trio's strength lie in the wings and you will notice the difference if they play up top. And to be honest in my opinion, three strikers won't win the championship (in most cases anyway). It's really easy to lose two strikers at once like earlier this season when Rooney and Saha were out. The fans would want a fourth striker, as security or insurance that can help us to retain the league.

Yeah, but if there is nobody that fits us available, then its probably better to stick one of those 3 upfront instead of panicking into buying somebody and half a year latter regretting it. Afterall, there is not that many forwards out there, that would want to join a team that has Rooney, Tevez and Saha fighting them for their position.

Even though he's come out and says he's "commited" to Spurs, i think that Berbatov would be very, VERY welcome to a move to United - and Ramos has said he wouldn't stand in his way. Berbatov would give us a different option with his personal strengths - and there's no doubt in my mind that he has the skill to play for United and fit into the system.

I've not heard Doyle's name mentioned before for potential targets, but i've been to quite a few Reading games since they got promoted and i must say that out of the whole team he's the one (along with Superman Sonko) that has impressed me the most. Though i think it would take time for him to be able to reach the level that United would expect of him.

All i'm saying is keep an open mind. Fergie's done it before where he's seen something in a player and turned them into top notch players.

Dwight Yorke is a great example...

Yeah, alongside with tens of other players (H)
But you just can´t help but doubt each time we (are about to) sign someone, well if you´re a moaning **** like me anyways :p
