What to do to make PES2008 run well on PC ???

I suppose many people are having the same problem...
PES runs very slowly on their PC's, even on mine.

Their must be a way to make it running well, couz all other games, like fifa08, COD etc. are all running very smoothly on max. details... and I'm sure PES has no better graphics than a game like COD...

My graphics card is a Geforce 8400GS Ultra-overclocked with 256Mb DDR³...

there are even problems with running it on pc's with a geforce 8800...

There must be a "tweaking" or sth like that to do fot this...

Please post it here if you know it !!!

Ticking the Skip Frame Rate box , stops the slow down. Now I don't know if this then cause's my problem of fast game with the ball pinging about like a pinball and player doing the same.

I had the demo working fine, with a little speed up in the box but nothing like with the full game..

I had the demo set on High Graphics and a screen of 1280x720 and a monitor rate of 60mhz and the demo was smooth in most of the pitch, as i said a little speed up in the box.

But the same setting on the full game with Vsycn and Skip Frame Rate and 60mhz screen, the game is sped up and the ball moving fast a lot more than in the demo. The camera movement after the ball causes blur and ghosting of the players..

P4 2Ghz
1Gb DDr
X1650Pro 512mb card.
I don't know why it was near perfect with the demo and a lot worse with the full game...

i have x1650 too , pls tell me how you skip the frame rate box !

thank you !

I guess Mighty Tic meant that in the settings.exe you need to set a tick in the box "skip frame rate" to avoid slowdowns.

here is my rig:

dual core @3.0Ghz
striker extreme m/b
xfx geforce 8800 ultra 768mb:rockman:
2gb corsair doninator memory:drevil:
and about 1,4 terabites of hard disks..:s***:

I'm using both vista 32bit and win xp..

the game runs great on both vista and xp.. no difference for me there..

I also run the game at max settings and I override the aa settings via nvidia's control panel:

8xAA
vsync forced on.. etc etc...

I also have it running on 2 monitors at the same time.. 22" lcd ( my pc monitor.)

and on my sharp 52" lcd.. with no problems at all....

and I don't have the box ticked to avoid slowdowns..

I'm the same as you, but I have a 2.8ghz P4.

Considering the x1650 is more powerful than the x1600 (which is in the recommended specs) there should be a way of getting a smooth game out of it.
