Darron Gibson has gone on loan to Wolves. Should be good to see how he does for them. I reckon he could be very succesful in his time there. He's coming back in January.

Tevez, Rooney and Ronaldo have been shortlisted for the FIFA world player of the year award. In my opinion Ronaldo should win it. But no doubt Kaka will most likely take it because hes Brazilian, and plays for the ever favoured AC Milan.

I think everyone knows that Kaka deserves it this year because he has outshone all for the past 12 months or so. Ronaldo could have win it if we made the CL final because the semis was a clear head-on between Ronaldo and Kaka.

Kaka doesn't deserve it at all in my opinion. He didn't carry Milan on his shoulders through the whole Serie A and CL, unlike Ronaldo did. But he will probably win it, just because of the CL. Kaka played 48 games and scored 18 goals for Milan, Ronaldo played 53 games and scored 23 goals Manchester.

By the way, why was Lampard nominated?

Its an unwritten rule that Fat Frank must be considered for every award despite not doing anything. Its a bit like his place in the England squad :)

Yeah Kaka should take it, although Messi is making a late charge, 9 goals already this season, Ronaldo's slow start to the season cost him any chance of overtaking Kaka he should still get second.

anyway i thought darren gibson would get some 1st team opportunities this season...the boy's a talent. Well it will be a good to gain some more experience elsewhere first i guess. As for Eagles...i dont think he can cut it at united.

I find it somewhat puzzling that with Hargreaves and Carrick (and Park) out of the midfield that Fergie would allow Gibson to go out on loan.

As for Eagles - he does have that "Kieran Richardson" vibe about him. Unfortunate too that he's trying to break into a position shared with Cristiano, Nani and Ryan.

Kaka will win player of the year - South Americans seem to have an "aura" about them which helps in such things.

Hargreaves and O'Shea are back in 2 or 3 weeks, Fletcher is already training i believe. Why deny a player that needs first team experience just to have him as back up for 3 weeks?

I think if Gibson wants to break into the team, he needs to score stunners in successive league games to make sure Fergie notices him. But I hope he makes an impact at Wolves, where I despise Mick McCarthy.

lol I'm pretty sure Ferguson would have noticed Gibson by now. He knows exactly what he's doing and will have a long term plan for Gibson. I think the game against Coventry made him realise that despite the massive amount of talent we have in our youngsters, sometimes without that experience against opposition, players will have problems. Once Hargreaves, Carrick and Fletcher are back, there are 4 players competing for one spot next to Scholes if you include Anderson. Gibson won't be competing for a spot, and it is best that he gets valuable first team experience at Wolves.

I've just been reading about the twins that are expecting to complete their transfer from Fluminese in January. It looks like they will ease the problems at both full back positions, and could be one more reason Ferguson sold Heinze in the summer.
