Come on, I don't like it when people dive, but you can't really compare Dida's actions with those of Messi or whoever. If you are gonna compare, why not compare it to Rivaldo's 2002 actions? If you did that, you'd see how we dislike people who do that.
Dida's actions should be punished, just like Celtic should receive some kind of penalty for allowing the guy to enter the pitch.
Celtic being wrong doesn't make Dida's action any better. If he wanted to get attention, like you mentioned before, why not run to the damn ref?

Matt is right, Richard, your argument is extremely weak. If you want things to improve regarding diving, then surely you should be in support of Dida getting punished. He did CHEAT you know.

I don't understand this arguement. What does Messi have to do with Dida's actions? Sure, Messi dives, so what? That no one notices it means Dida's stupidity should go unpunished? Besides, let's give credit to divers, they're cheaitng isn't so blatantly obvious. And they are reprimended and punished when caught. So Dida should get punished. It seems that both sides of this arguement are saying the same, but are opposing each other for some reason.
Anyway, I think the fan was being stupid, just go directly to celebrate with Celtic, why bother with Dida?

Glad to see Dildo get a 2 match ban. It's good to see UEFA start taking action against such overt cheating.
Celtic have escaped rather leniently. A £25,000 and half of it is suspended for 2 years, so they only actually pay about £12,500. That's about 2 days wages for Nakamura.
They have to pay the other half if such an event happens again within the next 2 years. Seems to me Celtic could exploit this and get a fan to run on the pitch and give the opposition keeper a good kicking, knowing they'll only have to cough up the other £12,500.

Well today is the most ugly day in football, and i have ceased to support a racist and hopeless sport. ** I spit on the sport with disgust***
Dida is suspended while
1.) Celtic are spanked with a feather for lack of security?
2.) Messi and Rooney the cheats are nevr punished
3.) Eto'o was humilited and insulted by zaragoza fans twice. while eto'o cried openly on the pitch, UEFA did nothing substantial
4.) zorro was humiliated and cursed y inter fans. Zorro wept on the pitch, UEFA did nothing.
5.) Fowler made bigoted comments towards Le Saux, and the authorities did nothing.
Today, it is clear to me that Football is a racist and bigoted sport. They are quick to punish Dida, while racist fans and bigoted players walk away with no punishment? I am disgusted at football, and today i take off my chain of support for the sport. never again will i be associated with such racist and disgusting sport. The priorities of the sport is indeed mistaken!
