You been reading those newspapers again dip? :D

I told you mate, you will get nothing but negative reporting regarding Chelsea. I wouldn't take a blind bit of notice if I were you mate.

On a positive note, looks like JT is happy to play with a protective mask on Wednesday against Valencia. Related to that, Chelsea have asked the FA to look at the Clint Dempsy challenge on Terry that resulted in the Chelsea captain's fractured cheekbone. Dempsy clearly went into the challenge with his elbow in JT's face, and was not even booked for it. On watching the replay, it is evident that it was indeed dangerous play on Dempsy's part.

Essien looks to be fit for Valenca too so thats a big plus.

So you see there are many positives to post in this thread. Believing and repeating media bulls.hit is not only pointless but will also add to your woes and will depress you.

Lets try to steer away from scenarios invented by the newspapers. They never have any substance, and I wouldn't waste my time even discussing them to be honest.

When Chelsea issue a statement, or I witness something happening with my own eyes, then that is the time to believe anything.

Have a good day Chelsea fans......(Y)

didy, I have not heard that JT will NOT be playing mate. A decision has still to be made as far as I know.

Also, the stories about Ronaldinho moving from Barca to either Chelsea or Milan, have been cleared up at last by the man himself,

"Brazil ace Ronaldinho has insisted that he does not want to leave Barcelona for either Chelsea or AC Milan.

Reports have been rife since summer that the 27-year-old Barca playmaker is likely to leave Camp Nou and the Blues have been linked with a swoop, while the Italian giants have been his long-time admirers.

However, the former PSG ace, who joined the Catalan giants in 2003 after coming close to signing for Manchester United, has maintained that he is only thinking of Barcelona.

"Not Chelsea or Milan. I want to stay with Barcelona - that is my wish, that is the wish of Ronaldinho," he told El Mundo.

Yet another pack of lies by the media is put to bed at long last. Chelsea never made and were never going to make a move for Ronaldinho. Pure media bull crap from day one.

Its a shame that the SUN are allowed to print such lies. The story upset Ronaldinho as well as many Barca fans. The reason for the story of course was to inflict as much derision on Chelsea as was possible.

I am amazed that people simply just believe anything that is in print. Then again, if it's anti Chelsea there are plenty of idiots who will lap itup.

Chelsea 2 - Valencia 1.

Crisis?.......WOT FU<KIN' CRISIS......hahahahahahahahaa:evil:

A fantastic display by the boys tonight. We got a little bossed in midfield during the first half but we were so strong in defence. Thanks largely to the return of the one and only RICARDO. We have missed him so much this season.

Valencia scored first due to a fortunate deflected ball, which Villa latched on to, to slide the ball under Cech.

Great team goal for us finished off by Joe Cole to bring us level, and a sublime pass from Joe into the feet of the Drog, who muscled his way past the defender and let fly with a cracker into the net.

Every last Chelsea man fought like crazy tonight and we deserved this victory.

Valencia players were rolling around at every opportunity as usual, but the Italian ref was mostly having none of it. I was doubting some of his decisons at the beginning of the game, as I thought he was being to easily conned by the Spanish side, but as the game progressed I think he realised that Valencia were taking the pss out of him.

I lost count of how many Valencia players threw themselves down inside our box towards the end of the game, and to be honest I think they might have had a shout for a penalty at one point, but by then the ref had decided that he was not gonna give them an easy opportunity to score. They bought it upon themselves in my opinion.

This was a much needed win for us, under intense pressure and with every prick in the World wanting us to lose.

We won, so up yours to the pricks of the World.....hahahahahaha:evil:.

Might aswell rename this thread the "Anti-media" thread lol.

Man, I really have nothing against media outlets who report NEWS. NEWS is fine. What makes me sick are media outlets who are only interested in printing malicious gossip and rumour as if it WAS news.

Take for example todays latest pathetic gossip mongering.

1. Lippi and Zola have "according to unknown sources", been approached by Chelsea to take over from Grant.

2. Ten Cate of Ajax, has "according to sources" been approached by Chelsea to take over fron Grant.

3. Van Basten has indeed "according to sources", been contacted by Chelsea to take over fron Grant.

4. Drogba has been seen by "an unnamed source", flying back and forth between England and Italy, "confirming suspicion" that he is in talks with Milan.

5. This is from the Guardian of all papers. An outlet that I used to have immense repect for.

"Ahead of last Wednesday's League Cup victory at Hull, Terry elected to hold a team meeting in which he called on team-mates to rally behind the new manager. Terry's message was ill-received, however, with several players insisting Grant was not good enough to coach them. One respected international spoke with team-mates after Terry's words, complaining: 'Chelsea deserve a bigger coach than him. Grant does not have the quality to coach a team like this. When we play big opponents we will suffer because of him.'

There are many at the club who agree. Abramovich is understood to have received unfavourable reports on Grant's coaching methods from club staff, one of whom describes them as '25 years behind the times'. The Israeli has not helped his cause by using training drills that many players believe to be outdated when compared to the cutting-edge methods they had become accustomed to under Mourinho. According to a source, at least one member of Grant's coaching staff has told friends that he will consider leaving the club if there is no further change in management."

Now then, that is not NEWS, it is unfounded gossip, instigated and circulated throughout the media by so called "journalists" who woul;d be better served working for the council down the sewers as this is where their minds seem to be.

See, what's so clever is this. They make up stories with no need for proof whatsover. They know its crap and they also know that once the gossip circulates and all the dimwits start to believe it, that someone somewhere has to come forward if only to deny the lies. This is a fine example of a news worthy item being created from an initial lie......

"John Terry publicly denied, for the first time yesterday, a report in last week's Observer Sport that his fallout with Mourinho played a central role in the manager's dismissal from the club.

Writing in Chelsea's match-day programme, he said: 'Most of the time it's easy to shrug off stories that are plainly made up, but this week I got very angry about a couple of pieces suggesting that an argument between me and Jose after the Rosenborg game was somehow the cause or contributed to his leaving Chelsea. This is ridiculous and untrue, and with the help of my lawyers I'm taking legal action to put this right. "

The same thing with the Ronaldinho rubbish. The same thing regarding at least 30 coaches who are waiting in the wings to come to Chelsea.

The shame of the whole situation is this. Once it was only the Sun and all its sister media outlets of News International, who printed lies, gossip and fabrication. Now unfortunately, you have papers like the Guardian, Observer and the Times doing the same thing, or shamelessly repeating the crap that the Sun feeds them.

Maybe Im not of a generation who thrive on gossip. I couldn't give a damn what anyone more famous than me is up to. It's a pity that people have become so shallow these days that they are indeed interested in this rubbish.

I love to keep up on the NEWS. I am quite simply, not interested in lies, fabrication and gossip. That is for silly little kids who do not know any better. It certainly should not be ingested by so called adults.

Carvalho was a beast today

Man, would you believe that one guy could make so much difference to the strength and morale of a team? He led by example tonight. He takes a lot of weight from JT's shoulders. I jumped with joy when I saw him in the tunnel tonight. I didn't expect to see him but when I did, I knew we were gonna give it everything.

I think he showed everyone tonight just how dedicated and proffessional he is. It certainly puts to rest all the crap that has been written about him since Jose left, that he wasn't interested any longer.

Ricardo is a legend as far as I'm concerned. Long may he be a Blue.:clapwap:

boy wat a difference one win can make moral wise, but Carvalho is key, way better than the under performing starter (Ben Haim) , when Carvalho and Terry are at the back they make each other so much better, its like whenever one of those players have a defensive play it seems the other wants to have one with better quality , they complement each other sooo brilliantly , when i first saw Cavs, I was up in joy but then i was hopin they aint rush them back to get the W for this match but the way he played just said. And how bout Joe Cole, this is the Cole that i love, he was ruthless today, he went straight at defenders and they got scared and you can see them puttin 2-3 Valencia defenders on him, amazing game. Drogba , sikk goal, glad that lil hamstring pull wasnt serious. Before this match i honestly thought Sheva shoulda played, this guy might not put them in the back of the net in the prem but in the C.L he scores goallss and hes a different player in the C.L, im guessing its because defenders in the C.L arent as rough as they are at the prem, so he can find space easier, but what ever, this win was like takin off 50 pounds off my head.

Lets make this our jolt, Mighty Blues

YES!! Finally a great result!! Probably our best performance since the management circus began but wth....its against Valencia at their own backyard!! hehehe......my mates are absolutely devastated since they put their moneys on Valencia,in the end i get the satisfaction of seeing my team win and also a week's worth of BigMacs and Coke out of nothing, hurayy

It looks like Ten Cate to Chelsea is looking more likely. But as an assistant to Avram Grant. The idea is to have a foreign assistant and a English assistant (Clarke.) The reports are hotting up, and Ajax haven't denied the claims yet. Ten Cate made it clear he won't be staying beyond this season anyway, so if he leaves it will just be a bit earlier.

More speculation. Really not interested. IF it happens, then is the time to talk. :)

A statement on Chelsea's official website read: "Chelsea first team coach Avram Grant has made it publicly clear several times that he intends to strengthen his backroom team in addition to his assistant coach Steve Clarke.

"One of the scenarios Avram is considering is a team containing a British assistant coach in Steve and a foreign assistant coach, a system the first team are already familiar with."

So its possible but not certain.

If it turns out to be true, then its a very good capture for us. The guy is a class coach, that is common knowledge. Ajax got dumped from the UEFA Cup on Thusday so maybe this might allow Ajax to let him leave early. A very positive appointment if its true.

Lampard is expected to be back for the Bolton game on Saturday. Hopefully Ricardo will have recovered from the kicking he recieved from Valencia too.

If Chelsea can maintain the momentum that they made on Wednesday, then we are about to kick start our season, and the game at Bolton needs to be a reminder to the rest of the league that we are back, and looking to put the recent unease at the club into the history books.

You can see that the players are still buzzing after Wednesday's game, and admit that the extra percentage of effort and determination that has been needed, has been missing since Jose left. Now, they say it is back. The sulking is over. The unrest has been sorted, and as a squad they are all together.

Joe Cole said it right when he said today,

"To a certain extent, we (the players), have let ourselves and the fans down, but when something so negative happens at a club like the manager leaving so suddenly, it is a massive shock to everyone at the club.

We are human beings at the end of the day and not robots without feelings. It has taken a couple of weeks to sort ourselves out. Now we feel great, and with the return of our injured first choice players we now owe it to the fans, the club and ourselves to get this season back on track.

No more feeling sorry for ourselves. We re- captured the Chelsea spirit that has been missing on Wednesday night, when everyone thought we were going to get beaten at the Mestalla. We came off the pitch buzzing and we are still buzzing. Training has been a laugh once again. The dark cloud has lifted. We are back and we are very together."

C'mon you Blues...........:D

There was a Pressconference this afternoon at the Ajax Arena Stadium where Ten Cate denied any business with Chelsea, he's calling it rumours and 'fairytales'.
There is no deal what so ever! were his exact words.
So nothing is certain yet but I think it will be after the weekend though..

Pete mate how are ya :)
Sick about the defeat yesterday but life goes on I guess :S
